Nate's POV

It's decided. We will hold a secret midnight birthday party at his residence.

Mr. Thomas will be our helping hand. Since Diana is the fc prez, she is in close contact with Dylan. And the only person she wanted to invite was Dr. Arman Miles.

On the other hand, I decided on inviting Pihu and Lucas, because i know even if no one helps me in arranging the party, these two will.

My only hesitation was what if Dylan doesn't return back home.

I tried calling him in the morning, but it was switched off. And now i am heading towards shooting spot.

Dylan's POV

I ran away. I left Nate sleeping there alone. I felt like a grime. A slimy dirty grime with no backbone.

I ran away from my house to my safe place. The place filled with her memories. The place where my first love bloomed. Our bedroom no longer smells like her. The kitchen is no longer filled with her laughter. The garden was no longer filled with flowers she took care of.

She sacrificed so much for me. Now that she was no longer with us, I dared to kiss someone else. I was the cause of her endless sufferings, her miserable life, her death.

I am the dirtiest grime.

Nate's innocent dimpled smile was floating here and there in my mind. The way he always looked up at me with those bright eyes made me feel so guilty right now. I did him wrong. I did him so wrong. He doesn't deserve this bullshit.

I wanted to devote myself entirely to her in this lifetime even though she is gone. But now Nate's existence has turned my life upside down.

My bedside table still has her picture. I think while tracing it with my fingers, this smile was enough to brighten up my whole existence. But I couldn't protect it.

Her sweet taste is still there. Her aroma is still lingering around me. Oh, how I missed those.

I can hear her giggles. It was music to my ears.

I can hear faint footsteps. I chased it. Oh!! I see her. Lord, I see her!!!She was running ahead. I followed her as fast as I could. Her long dark hairs were swaying from side to side.

"Irene" I called out loud.

She didn't stop. Maybe she didn't listen. I ought to call louder.

"IRENE, IRENE. PLEASE COME BACK HOME WITH ME. Our Iris is still waiting for her mother."

She slowed down. Yes, Iris. Iris, my precious daughter.

She turned towards me. But her face.. how can this be?

I didn't see the face I was longing to see.
