After getting something to eat, Midoriya went upstairs to his room and was now sat at his desk eyeing the ever so interesting drawer that held Kaminari's journal. Just as he was about to snap and read yet another entry in said journal, there was a knock at his door.

'Can't I be left alone today?' He grumbled internally but got up to open the door anyway being met with the familiar sight of his half and half friend.

"Hey-"

"Midoriya, I have something I wanted to talk to you about, Hitoshi has brought it to my attention," Todoroki spoke, getting straight to the the point.

"What is it Todoroki-kun?" Izuku asked, letting out an amused sigh at the Todoroki's lack of regard for most social conventions as he stepped aside to let him enter the room before closing the door behind him. Todoroki normally made it to Midoriya's bed and sat down to talk to him but he only made it to the middle of the room before quickly rounding on Izuku with his news.

"We believe Kaminari has a crush on you," he said simply.

Izuku didn't even need to pretend to be shocked at this. He obviously wasn't shocked at the news of Kaminari possibly liking him, he already knew without a doubt that it was a fact, but he was shocked at Todoroki's impeccable timing. Honestly, what are the odds of Shouto bringing it to his attention right now and why did he feel the need to. Regardless of if he was going to get an answer or not, Izuku played along with him and feigned being surprised at the news.

"..... Really now? Wow, who would've guessed..." Midoriya drawls, pretending to think deeply about it. "Why do you think that?" He couldn't help but ask, desperate for some answers and hoping it was just an odd coincidence.

"I didn't think it was true either but Hitoshi convinced me," Todoroki said, nodding sagely and obvious buying Midoriya's acting.

"That doesn't answer my question Todoroki-san," Izuku said, gently trying to keep the other on track.

"Ah, right," He agreed awkwardly before clearing his throat. "So 'Toshi came to me yesterday morning and told me about it, he's really smart," he said a bit dreamily as he complimented his boyfriend.

"Yes, I know," Midoriya said, chuckling lightly and shaking his head. "And what exactly did he say?"

"Right, right, sorry," Shouto apologized, realizing he was getting off track again. "He asked if you were interested in anyone and I said that I didn't know and asked why and he said that he thought Kaminari liked you."

"He said that Kaminari looked at you a lot and blushed and acted extra dumb when you were around and/or paying attention, I hadn't really noticed it so I was skeptical but I'm not anymore since I saw if for myself just last night," he explained, nodding enthusiastically (as enthusiastic as Todoroki could be without being out of character) at Izuku's skeptical look.

"Really? I haven't noticed anything," Midoriya said, which was completely true. Aside from this morning where Kaminari shoved toast into his mouth out of panic and embarrassment, twice, nothing he had ever done screamed "my crush is here and I'm a disaster because of it" to Izuku.

"Because you weren't looking for it," Todoroki said simply. "If you were to look at how he interacts with you compared to others and acts around you and without you, it's a pretty obvious difference,"

He wasn't wrong, Midoriya hadn't paid much attention to Kaminari's interactions with himself compared to others before and he couldn't really know how he acted when he wasn't around. To be perfectly honest, he hadn't paid a ton of attention to Kaminari at all before reading his journal and before last night, he had only been looking for signs of hurting underneath Kaminari's exterior, not if he was crushing on anyone. If he hadn't found out about Kaminari's crush, he probably would have assumed the other's odd behavior that morning was him just being awkward and Izuku himself was ALSO awkward so it wouldn't have been weird to him and their interaction would have probably gone a bit differently.

"I guess you're right..." Midoriya mumbled unconsciously as he thought this all through.

"Yeah, you should go find Kaminari and see how it goes with a skeptical eye," Todoroki proposes.

Izuku nodded looking over at his alarm clock and sighed in relief that he had an excuse not to take Todoroki's suggestion at that very moment like he knew the other wanted him to.

"Kaminari is probably gone by now though, he told me he was going to his grandparents all weekend," Midoriya said and he saw Shouto deflate slightly at the news.

"Ah, I see," Todoroki hummed dejectedly, moving to leave the room and nodding to Izuku as he passed him. "Well, sorry for intruding, I just thought it was something you might want to know," he said, opening the door.

"Oh, don't worry about it," Midoriya waved a dismissive hand. "It makes a lot of sense, actually,"

"It does, I'll talk to you later,"

"Yeah, see you,"
