Behind The Photo

Me running with my camera through a field as the sun is starting to set. It is perfect the sun is reflecting off the tree perfectly. I run duck down and take a quick shot of the tree before running back to my home for dinner. I walk onto the porch of my countryside home and walk in the front door. I take off my tennis shoes and slip on my slippers. My mom is home because I can hear the stove boiling.

"Mom I'm home." I scream. Sliding on the tile until I bump into her.

"I see that." She says laughing.

"What are we having for dinner?" I say.

"We are having breakfast." She hesitates.

"Yay." I say. Every Thursday we have breakfast for dinner because my dad has to work on the farm late. When we have breakfast we have Cheddar Cheese and Bacon sausage, and pancakes with eggs. The whole dinner ( breakfast ) is good, so I really can't wait.

"It will be ready in a few minutes why don't you go get your homework done sky."

"Ok mom." is say almost screaming because I was running upstairs to my room.

I skip over all the clutter in my room and switch on the radio and start on my math homework. It was so easy that I got it done in 5 minutes then I was on to my reading.

"Sky I know your doing homework at the very beginning of the weekend, but could you come down and talk to your boyfriend so I don't have to." My mom screamed covering the phone.

"Coming." I scream do a little happy dance then I go to the top of the steps and run down them.

I take the phone out of her hand and then run back upstairs screaming thank you to my mom.
"Hey." I say to Owen.

"Hey." He replies.

"Are you ok you didn't call on my phone."

"Actually no my parents took my phone away so I can't text for a week."

"Oh we'll that sucks."

"Ya so how are you."

"I'm good what about you."

"I'm good we still on for Saturday."

"Ya. What time you picking me up."

"My mom said I can pick you up around 1 and we can hang out until whenever. I don't know when your parents want you home by."

"We can stay as long as we want to my mom just said have fun."

"Ok we'll I got to go my mom thinks I called someone from my math class to ask them a question on homework. I love you see you."

"I love you to talk to you later."
He hangs up and I bring the phone back downstairs and once I come back up I start to do my homework again. I am done within the first 10 minuets I am home and still talked to my boyfriend. My boyfriend is about 6 feet 3 inches and I am 5 feet 4 inches. Big difference. He is really tall though and has wavy brown hair and emerald green eyes. the best part is I can't believe he's mine. Owen is a year ahead of me in school so he is in 10 grade. He is 15 and I am 14 but he is still the best thing that ever happened to me.

"Sky dinner." Mom shouts to me.

"Coming." I say coming down the stairs. As I sit down at the dinner table she asked me how my day was. I told her it was good and how I spent most of the day with Owen. She gave a quick Grin and blushed.
"Ok so what time is he picking you up?"
My mom asked
"He said he can pick me up around one." I tell my mom excitedly.

"That's fine just have fun." She says almost squealing.

"Ok?" I say laughing.We talk more until our dinner is gone. Then I go back upstairs and lay on my bed listening to the radio and thinking. I think about today and all the things that happened. After a while I start to doze off. I love photography! I have liked it ever since my aunt gave me her camera and told me "Go change the world." From that day on I couldn't get enough of the camera and the pictures it took.

I wake up in a daze I look at the alarm clock it is 7:30 in the morning I lay back down in my bed and go back to sleep. I have a dream that I lived in the city and was dating a supermodel. I jolt awake this time. What why was I dating a supermodel. Anyways I look at my clock it is 10:00 A.M. I hear something in the kitchen so I go down to investigate when I go down I see my mom and dad making themselves breakfast. My older sister grace was texting her friends while eating toast and eggs. I sneak up behind my dad and jump on his back. Before I say anymore I may be in high school but I am extremely under weight. I only weigh 89 pounds. My dad is so startled by me jumping onto him that he turned around and tickled me. I drop to the ground and play dead with my tough sticking out. He asked how I slept and I said really good and he went back to cooking the eggs. I went over to my mom and kissed her on the cheek and I asked her how she was.

"Im fine but I cant wait to hear all about it tonight when you come home from hanging with Owen." She says blushing. I dont know why she is always blushing maybe its because that her second born has a boyfriend or something.

"Oh gosh thats today I need to go get ready." With that I am heading up to my room to go get into the shower.

I sit on my bed trying to pic out what to wear. Right now I am currently in a robe considering I just took a shower. While I'm looking in my closet I pick out a thin gray sweater and a pair of ripped jean shorts. After I am done I go into the bathroom and start to put on my makeup. I put eyeliner, mascara, and lipgloss on. As I reach for the brush I start thinking about what I should do to my hair. My hair is auburn red, and it is the kind of hair you can blow dry and it will stay straight without even having to brush it. I walk down stairs to get my black converse on and have a snack since I missed breakfast. I walk over to my wooden cabinets and open them to see that my mom went grocery shopping a few days ago. The cabinets were stalked fool of goods from pretzels to potato chips. I grab the bag of potato chips and walk over the the table opening up the bag. My family is now where to be seen so I guess I am here alone. My dad is probably on the farm working and my mom is probably feeding the cattle. While my sister went back off to college. This will be a very interesting day. I look over at the clock and see that it is 12:30. This is great because it means I have time to take pictures before Owen comes. I hop off of my chair and go grab my camera. I run out the front porch and over to my favorite tree. When I finally get up into the tree I start snapping pictures left and right. When I heard someone calling my name.
"Sky. Owen is going to be here in a few minutes get out of that tree." My mom says as she walks away laughing.
I don't answer her I just climb out of the tree and into the house. I put my camera back in its case and say on the steps waiting for my Owen to arrive.
Hello everyone so I know I am making a ton of books and not updating fast enough but when I have an idea I just have to write it down or rather type it. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I am happy to inform you that I am going to hopefully be updating faster considering I am on summer break.
