it's been a few days have gone by, and serenity still hasn't been at school. her birthday passed, with nothing but a 'happy birthday' from the boys and sadie. they didn't want to intervene with her thoughts. she has focused on her. which is great, but her mind always goes back to corbyn. and thinking if it was the right thing, then she tells herself that she her worth it. every girl needs to see their self in a positive way!
"hey sadie i'm heading to the studio, don't wait up for dinner!" serenity waves goodbye with her backpack and phone in hand. she gets into her car and drives to the studio, where she meets Alex. her plans to make an EP are finally happening.
"hi alex, so do we just need to finish gone?" serenity asks, placing her purse down on the sofa. "yep, can i bring some other voices in?" he asks, clearing his throat. "um sure."
"okay boys come in."
the side door opens, and incomes the why dont we boys. zach and jack give a little wave to her, but she doesn't give one back. "was this necessary?" serenity asks, glaring at corbyn. "i thought that gone could use some extra help producing."
serenity laughs, as she walks into the booth. sliding on the headphones she gives alex a thumbs up. as the song progresses, the girl's voice starts to crack. no in a bad way, but she doesn't want to see corbyn. not here. "ok we will take ten." alex walks out of the room, leaving her alone with them. she walks out of the booth and goes over to her purse. "so serenity how was your birthday?" jonah asks, turning off his phone. "fine."
"i really like the song serenity, it's cool." she smiles, and walks back into the booth. slightly shutting the door behind her. serenity walks over to the nearest wall within the booth and slides down. she goes through her phone, and smiles. seeing the pictures from her past relationship, with corbyn. water start to build up as she keep swiping, once she realizes what is happening she wipes her eyes as if nothing happened.
"serenity can i come in?" she looks up and sees corbyn, giving her a little smile. as she shrugs the door opens with the boy. "hi." "hi."
corbyn shuts the door behind him, he walks over to serenity and sits next to her. "so how was your birthday?" he asks her, wrapping his arms around his legs. "it was perfect. i got to stay home and not worry about anything or anyone."
"the boys really wanted to come over and bring their gifts, but i said no." corbyn says, biting his lip nervously. "why? why couldn't they? just because we aren't dating doesn't mean i can't see them."
"i..you because they would talk about us."
"corbyn it will happen. it's life, sometimes kids just need to figure themselves out." serenity states, getting up. "so we aren't together anymore?" serenity looks back at him, and looks down at her feet. "no."
"so then what are we?"
"two kids, that don't know any thing about each other. it's best if we forget about each other. for now." she says, walking out of the booth. "hey ren!" daniel calls out. "hi. if anything happens tell alex i went to the bathroom. ok?" all the boys nod their head as she slips on her purse. serenity walks out of the room, her ex boyfriend follows suit. "ren please wait." she turn around.
"corbyn what now? i established everything that i felt was needed to say." she tells him, giving him no emotion. "is it still okay to feel love towards you?" he asks, scratching the back of his neck. "in life you will find someone that you love with all your heart. and when they leave you, it's like what's the point of living? so the answer is yes. just like i said i will always love you."
he nods his head, and walks back to the studio. "oh and corbyn, don't do anything stupid." he smiles and walks into the studio. the girl turns back around and leave the place. heading back to her car. she gets in and drive off as if nothing happened between the two.
serenity wanted to date him and marry him. and now the real corbyn, not the one who makes stupid decisions. she takes a deep breath, rethinking all of her decisions. but it's for the best. not everyone was meant for each other. but they were. or were they?
