The rest of the week was just like Monday.
Sophie and her friends went to school. Sophie fought with Donovan and any other guy who got on her nerves.
Keefe complained about Stina and had already got detention for the next three months.
Linh continued to be optimistic, while Marella and Tam hated school with their lives.
Dex sometimes got class off to fix things, much to his delight.
Biana was the centre of attention to the boys.
And Fitz was wishing that the Neverseen would come out already and die.
Now it was Saturday and they were all gathered in Everglens living room after getting a call from Mr. Forkle.
"Ugh," Keefe whined. "Waiting is so boring."
"It depends on what you're waiting for," Sophie told him. "Or if the person with you is complaining."
"Get used to it," Tam said, "Whining is all he does."
They continued to sit, doing absolutely nothing for thirty minutes. Everyone letting out an occasional exasperated groan.
"I swear he's late," Marella said.
"No. He said he'd be here at one. It's twelve thirty," Linh told her.
"We're just stressed because of his stupid vague call," Sophie informed them.
Mr. Forkle called everyone saying that he needed them to meet at Everglen so he could pick them up for some kind of emergency.
Since when are emergencies predicted to happen at a specific time.
He called two hours AGO.
"He's always vague," Fitz's told Sophie.
"Doesn't mean I like it."
"No one does," Tam agreed.
"He didn't even give us a small clue. It's like the worst planned scavenger hunt ever."
Tam snorted. "I disagree. My parents planned a scavenger hunt for Linh and I when we were six. It was horrible. They hid a clue at the top of the highest tree in our backyard. It was like twenty feet tall."
"Here they go again," Keefe groaned.
"Did you get it?"
"We called firemen to go get it."
"What was the prize at the end?," Sophie wondered.
"The most pitiful and scary Easter bunny ever," Tam told her.
Sophie laughed. "That's so sad."
"Yeah. And the worst part is that there were like 25 clues that were almost impossible to find."
"I have a question," Sophie smiled.
"Huh?"
"Was Keefe the Easter bunny?" Sophie snorted.
Both Tam and Sophie snickered then started to laugh.
"Hey!" Keefe protested. "That hurts Foster. I didn't even know Bangs Boy when he was six.
And why whenever you two talk, it always ends in making fun of me?"That made Sophie and Tam laugh harder.
"Because it's easy to make fun of you," Tam stated through laugh.
All of their friends gave them weird looks.
"Your relationship is so weird," Biana said.
"I've never seen him laugh that much," Linh said. "Or talk that much."
