Eliana and Jeremy rode in her car as she drove them to school. She felt as though it was time for him to slowly know the truth. She brought the music down before exhaling slowly.

"J." She simply said as Jeremy quickly hummed and turned to her. "There's something I need to tell you." Eliana said as she kept her eyes on the road.

She decided to ease things onto him. Little by little.

"You know those stories our parents use to tell us about the demons of the night." Eliana said as Jeremy simply nodded. "What if I was to tell you that those stories weren't just stories?" She said as he furrowed his eyebrows.

"Were they true events?" Jeremy questioned as Eliana sighed and caught a look at him.

"At first I couldn't believe it but one day I saw it with my own eyes. Those demos of the night are real and there's more to this world that we have yet to discover." Eliana said as Jeremy quickly took out a journal from his bag.

"This contains all the information you're telling me." Jeremy said as Eliana caught sight of the journal.

"Is that Elena's journal?" Eliana questioned as she started pulling into the school parking lot.

"Yes. I know about vampires Eliana. You and Elena are dating vampires. You both asked Stefan to make me forget." Jeremy ranted as Eliana quickly turned to him after parking the car.

"That is not what happened J. You were hurting and Elena made the decision to ask Stefan to make you forget. I was opposed to that, I wanted to give you the choice." Eliana said as she looked at her younger brother. "I couldn't take that from you. I just couldn't." She added as Jeremy nodded.

"But Elena could." Jeremy said as he shoved the journal back into his bag.

"I was going to tell you sooner but Elena was always in the way. I didn't want her to fill your head with lies just like she does Aunt Jenna. I want you to know the truth Jeremy. I want you to be aware of the creatures lurking in the shadows." Eliana said as Jeremy nodded.

"I'm glad that you're telling me the truth. That you're giving a choice." Jeremy said as a small smile was brought onto Eliana.

"I can't lie to those that I love. I'm not Elena." Eliana said as Jeremy nodded slowly.

The two stepped out of the car and headed into the school. Caroline quickly walked over to the Eliana as Jeremy made his way to his class.

"How are you doing Eli?" Caroline questioned as the two made their way to their history class.

"Believe it or not I'm actually fine." Eliana said as she made her way towards her desk.

The Gilbert girl was took a seat and was about to take out her books when a teacher entering the room caught her by surprise. She looked up and saw Alaric placing his things down on his desk. Caroline quickly tapped Eliana to take her out of her trance.

The entire class period Eliana kept thinking of ways that Alaric could be alive. She didn't feel a pulse.
