CHAPTER 1 [EDITED]

It has been around 1000 years since I fulfilled my first contract in Liyue. I'm no Archon, nor am I adepti, I merely fulfill the contracts I've been given throughout the years from the illuminated Rex Lapis.

Where my origins stem from, or how I've been walking on the face of Earth for so many years, I have no recollection of. I have long lost count of my age, so please don't ask me about it.

After the fall of Rex Lapis, many citizens of Liyue have started to downgrade the importance of fulfilling a contract. These slackers pay other people to fulfil their end of the contract, and it's not too good of a pay either. This is where I come in. Upon fulfilling the last contract made with Rex Lapis, I've been going around, fulfilling other people's contracts. Given my years of practice and expertise, I've started to make quite the name for myself.

The Milileth has been continuously receiving reports about the "Red Phantom" disrupting people at night. This "Red Phantom" was perceived as a well built male, around 5'6, weilds a Pyro Vision, and uses 2 sharp blades as their weapon of choice. Although some definitions vary, one aspect is always the same. This nightly vigilante wears a black masquerade mask, with gold hemming the edges.

Lady Ningguang even went as far as to put up wanted posters. Everytime I pass by one, I can't help but stifle my laughter. Despite all the rumours, my name is Yujing. I hold an Electro Vision and wield a handcrafted sword. Before I left for Liyue, I stumbled across a Fatui camp, to which someone dropped a Pyro Delusion. I stashed it in my pocket and ran into the city like a madman. And besides, I'm only 5'2. There's no way the Milileth would piece it together.
