" So would the two of you be staying for dinner later " Yujing asked as she sat opposite us

" I would love to sweetheart but i have other matters to attend to tonight " Kaeya sighed as he downed the tea in his cup

" I would" I replied glaring at my brother

" great ! Xiangling would love to cook for someone from mondstadt "

" what sort of business Kaeya ?" I asked , forcing my brother to spill tonight's arrangements to Yujing , afterall her boyfriend and other best friend would be there

He could not keep his mouth shut for long

" yeah why can't you join us for dinner " She pouted folding her arms

" ah...i guess you both are ganging up on me...fine then , tonight i will be duelling with someone at the electro hypostasis monument " He confessed amused on how we made him spill the information

" Who would have such an honour of having their butt kicked by you ? " Yujing snickered which i followed

" I wouldn't be so sure of that sweetie , our roster includes me , Lisa and Jean herself "

"The librarian ? Are you serious " I scoffed

However i knew how scary that librarian is , poor razor forgot to return his books and she almost scared the soul out of the poor boy

" And do you know who would be fighting on behalf of Liyue ? Keqing maybe ? ( she came home thrice i have a c2 keqing lol ) Childe ? Xingqiu ? " Yujing asked worriedly thinking about her friends going against such formidable opponents like Kaeya or Jean or even the scary librarian who nearly killed her for not returning the book childe borrowed using her name

" I suspect so but a little birdie told me that they would only send one person... " Kaeya huffed , slightly amused the qixing looked down on the knights so much they only sent one fughter

( which they technically do cuz the jade chamber lmao )

" WHAT ?! But Keqing might get hurt ? Childe would become a popsicle " Yujing gasped at the thought of her friends getting hurt due to the dis harmony of the elements they had

" Fatui popsicle doesn't sound so bad " Diluc huffed earning a smack on the head by the girl

" Lucky for the both of you , Childe is of the Fatui , of snezhnaya and is unable to join the fun...however my money is on Ms keqing or even Mr Zhongli heheh "

" Z-Zhongli ? " Yujing stuttered in horror glancing at Diluc who gestured that he had no part in it

She knew geo would be the most logical use against cryo , electro and anemo . Zhongli was also a pretty god fighter , she watched him beat the crap out of childe after she faked losing to him although in reality she won

" Childe Xingqiu and Chongyun probably talked him into this " Yujing sighed in defeat of her smart yet dumb lover

" Hey Mr Zhongli would be finen, he would beat these favonius brats to pieces " Diluc chuckled

" Pity that the darknight hero could not fill in for Lisa we left a letter on the gates of mondstadt which was picked up but we are not sure if he would turn up...Lisa says it is as if he isn't in in the city of freedom at the moment...she has a few suspects listed but you are the only suspect on the list not in mondstadt currently~ " Kaeya hinted as he slung his arm around his brother

As the captain well knew his brother was the said hero but did not bother exposing him , rather doing his best to help Diluc stay under the radar

" Ugh fine...thank you...kaeya...I'll go not for the knights but to save my cover " Diluc thanked reluctantly , knowing his brother was trying to help him avoid suspicion

But Kaeya didn't know that the surprise guest at tonight's duel was the worried female sending sorry looks at his brother

" I'm sorry " She mouthed which he sighed in response
