"okay okay let's just do it!" millie shouted as she started the music. me, sadie, millie, caleb, finn, gaten and noah were all crammed into millie's car. millie and i were in the front, the second row was caleb and finn and in the back, gaten, noah and sadie. of course noah had to be in the middle of gaten and sadie. he said 'it would be a bummer if his followers didn't get to see his beautiful face'. he begged us to do that one tiktok trend where you play music and whenever the beat dropped, that person would have to call their crush and confess to them.
i pray to god it's not me. for various reasons that no one needs to know.
"okay gosh!" noah screamed as he slapped the back of millie's head to which she slapped him back. "guys stop fighting!" gaten yelled from the very back. since he has a girlfriend, he wasn't what you would call playing but he was still there.
"god hurry up" finn groaned, throwing his head back with his arms crossed. "okay fine!" millie shouted as she began to play the music, noah started recording the tiktok.
we all went back and forth, pointing towards each other until the beat dropped. a loud groan came form finn's mouth and he banged his head on the headrest of the seat a few times. "BAHAHAHAHA FINN'S DUMBASS!" noah laughed. everyone was laughing. however, i was throwing the fakest smile there is. not gonna lie, lowkey hurt knowing he's interested in someone but i mean what can i do? i can't force someone to be with me. and that my friends, is the various 'reasons' as to why i didn't want to get picked. and luckily, i didn't.
"fucking shit!" he yelled before he pulled his phone out his pocket. "are you really gonna- shut up caleb" finn cut caleb off from his sentence. it didn't surprise me that caleb knew, they're like best friends and talk about everything.
"okay uhh what should i say?" he asked, scrolling through his phone. probably his contacts. "i don't know man" gaten laughed. "y/n what should i ask her?" finn asked me as his finger hovered over a contact name that i couldn't see. playing it cool, i shrugged. "umm ask her out to the movies or something, i don't know why are you asking me?" me and finn silently stared at each other for a few seconds before a ringing sound cut in.

my phone was ringing. i looked down at the name and my heart dropped to my ass.
"HOLY SHIT!" i heard noah scream as well as gasps and giggles from everyone else. caleb was just smirking.

i didn't even know what to say, of course i wanted to say a million things but something in me, wouldn't allow me. we were just staring at each other while the others watched intently. i got lost in thought before hearing finn speak up again.
