it's been five months. five months since finn broke up with y/n. he said he needed space but if that were true why is his new girlfriend hanging out with everyone?
"i'm telling you guys, that's not how it works" jack explained, taking a big inhale of his juul. "jack when the fuck did you start smoking again?" jaeden asked causing jack to groan. "the better question is: did i ever stop smoking?" he said before blowing smoke into jaeden's face and everyone started laughing. everyone except y/n. sophia came and sat down beside her and grabbed her hand, holding it in hers. "you okay?" she whispered in y/n's ears. y/n gave her a blank expression which made sophia rethink her dumb question.
"Y/N/NNNNNN!" chosen screeched as jack was tackling him onto the ground. "y'all are so fucking stupid i'm getting a drink" finn stood up and started walking towards the kitchen. "ooh will you get me one too babe?" his girlfriend, lilly spoke up. she put a lot of emphasis on the word babe. too bad she isn't aware that finn loathes the word babe. he always said it cringes him out. y/n learned that one night they were under the covers, talking about everything.
that's all a painful memory now.
five months is a quick amount of time to get over someone whom you've been with for almost four years. "yeah sure" he sighed as he walked into the kitchen. lilly smiled and turned back around and met eyes with cylia and sateen who were giving her a disgusted look. sateen whispered something into cylia's ear, making her laugh loud and nod before walking over to jack and the other boys to tell them what she said. they laughed and nodded their heads.
"how about we play truth or dare?" jack smirked and everyone eagerly nodded their heads. just then, finn walked back out into the living room and sat back down on the couch. "what are we? five?" he sarcastically asked but jaeden rolled his eyes. "yeah well at least we aren't fucking stupid" he mumbled. finn cocked an eyebrow at him as he took a sip of his water, handing lilly hers. "what was that jae?" he asked but before jaeden could answer, sophia yelled. "OKAY- JAE TRUTH OR DARE?" jaeden groaned but complied. "truth" sophia thought for a moment before speaking again, "okay umm have you and sateen... ya know..." she smirked but before they could answer, cylia spoke "oh they definitely have" she laughed, giving jaeden a knowing look. a blush creeped up on both of their cheeks and everyone started teasing them.
"AWWW JAE YOU DIDNT TELL ME?!?" y/n stood up and walked over to him and playfully punched his shoulder. "i wanted to wait but sophia beat me to it" he laughed, holding his arm. "i'm proud of you jae" she jokingly said, giving him a hug to which he returned. "you guys are so cute together! kiss!" lilly spoke up and the whole room went silent. "SWEET HOME ALABAMA" jack shouted, causing everyone to laugh. everyone gave lilly a disgusted look. "ew what the fuck she's my sister" jaeden retorted in disgust. "finn get your GiRLfRiEnD before i do" sateen eyed her up and down, causing finn to roll his eyes. he looked over to y/n and they made eye contact. she looked hurt. of course she is.
there's no doubt he felt bad. he felt terrible but i mean hey, shit happens right? y/n walked back over to sophia, breaking eye contact with finn and sat down. "you know what?" jaeden said out loud before he sat down in front of finn on the floor. "truth or dare finn?" he asked, giving him a death glare. "truth" finn responded. jaeden nodded his head "what's the real reason you broke up with y/n?" he narrowed his eyes at the raven-haired boy. lilly's faced morphed into confusion as she backed up and looked at finn. "i meant dare" he said through gritted teeth. jaeden laughed before continuing, "okay. i dare you to tell me the reason you broke my sister's heart then had the fucking audacity to bring another girl over to our house".
the room was silent, no one dared to speak. sophia grabbed y/n's hand for support. she looked like she was about to cry. again. finn and jaeden were staring at each other with clenched jaws, narrowed eyes and flared nostrils. "i needed space" finn said through gritted teeth. jaeden scoffed and shook his head. "still doesn't explain the leech that's on your shoulder right now" he motioned over to lilly who had locked her arm with finn's.
"woah woah calm down guys" chosen walked up to jaeden, helping him stand up. y/n couldn't take it anymore, she stood up and ran upstairs to her room. the girls quickly followed her, leaving the rest of the guys and lilly downstairs. they all looked at the staircase and jaeden turned his head back towards finn. "what was the first thing i told you when you asked me if it was okay to ask her out?" jaeden sat his water down on the floor. "to not break her heart" finn mumbled. jaeden cupped his ear, "sorry i couldn't hear you". finn stared at the ground before clearing his throat. "to not break her heart" he said a bit louder.
jaeden nodded and crossed his arms. "yeah and what did you do?" he asked. to say jaeden was pissed, is an understatement. he was furious. finn cleared his throat,'"i broke her heart" jaeden nodded his head again and stepped back. "get the fuck out" he spat. "but- finn it's taking everything in me right now to not beat the shit out of you so get out before i do" he motioned for the both of them to get up and get out.
finn and lilly stood up, finn made angry eye contact with jaeden before walking towards the door, jaeden following behind them. "oh yeah and hey, when you're done with your sloppy replacement, don't come over here with that bullshit begging for her to come back to you. i'm living for the day she finally gets over your dumbass and hopefully that will happen soon. but i'll be sure to invite you over so you can meet her new boyfriend okay bye!" he spat before slamming the door shut in both their faces.
