The Melody

Chapter 19

                     ***Rae**,
I wake up with arms wrapped around me tightly. I turn over and smile before kissing his nose. A small smile curves his lips.
  "Good morning Firefly. How'd you sleep?" He kisses my forehead and grins.
  I chuckle a little. "What sleep?"
  He laughs and kisses me, I smile into the kiss as he holds me closer. "Round 3?" He bites his lip and raises his eyebrows.
  I laugh and playfully smack his chest.
  His phone rings, he answers it and i can hear it.
  "What's up?"
  "You comin back today?"
  He looks at me and smiles. "Yeah. We'll head back in a bit. I'll text you when we're leaving."
  "Okay. Just make sure that story you got is practiced. I'll be here waiting to meet my sister in law. Love ya bro."
  "I will. I love you too." He hangs up and looks at me. "It was my little sister. She's excited to meet you."
  I smile. "And I'm excited to meet her. Is she that girl you were with at karaoke?"
  "Yes."
  "What was she talking about when she mentioned the story?"
  He looked at me sheepishly. "You heard?"
  "Yeah."
  "In order for me to not go to jail once we return, we need a strong story that will be believable. So I'm thinking that-"
  "-that we've been dating for a while and we planned a fake kidnapping to get away for a while?" He looks at me shocked.
  "Definitely. But make sure your brother doesn't kill me. He's at your house."
  I nod and smile. "He's a big teddy bear." I get up out of bed and get dressed.
  "If you say so babe." He rolls out if bed and watches me, my face flushing red.
  "What?"
  He walks over to me, wraps his arms around me and kisses me softly. "You're perfect."
  I kiss back and after a few minutes we get everything packed to head back home.
