So the story is slow starting because this is the first story I've written. Some things may not make sense but I hope that as you continue to read that it makes more sense. This part is just the general background of Izuku's life and what has been changed from the actual story line. This is my own work. I hope you enjoy!

In a world where superpowers are natural, there are obviously those that are heroes and villains. Good and evil. Superpowers or quirks are so natural that not having one is considered weird and strange. Every child wants to be a hero and so they wish for a flashy and useful quirk. But sometimes what they wish for doesn't come true. What they expected is different. That is most certainly true for Izuku Midoriya. Izuku is a 3 year old boy, wishing to become a hero just like All Might, the number one hero. Izuku has dark forest green hair, freckles and forest green eyes. He's scrawny just like a child is. Izuku had gotten his appearance from his mother, Inko. Inko was a lovely and sweet woman who always tried to give Izuku everything he needed. Indeed, his room was filled with All Might merchandise. Even though it was a little difficult buying everything for her son, Inko never gave up. Inko had raised Izuku by herself for years, his father having left early on. She worked at the hospital and so asked her friend, Mitsuki Bakugou to care for Izuku on occasion. Mitsuki had spiky, light honey blonde hair and red eyes. Just like with Izuku and Inko, Katsuki and Mitsuki share the same appearance. Katsuki, or Kacchan as Izuku nicknamed him, is Izuku's childhood friend. They promised to become heroes together and be the best. And yet, that dream has been destroyed. On Izuku's fourth 4th birthday, Inko helped Izuku create a list of possible quirks. Izuku was delighted and they waited to see if Izuku would develop a quirk soon. But after a while, Inko began to worry and so she took Izuku to the quirk doctor. The doctor took an x-ray and left to wait for it to come out. However, when he returned, there was a grave expression residing on his face. Inko's heart dropped. The doctor sat down and looked her straight in the eye as he showed her the x-rays.

"I'm sorry but he has no quirk. If you look here," the doctor pointed at the pinky toe in the x-ray, "you can see that Izuku here has an extra joint in his pinky toe. As you should know, that means that Izuku has no quirk and is part of the 20% world population that is quirkless."

Inko glanced down at Izuku who was staring up at her in shock. Then she looked back at the doctor. "M-my baby...my baby is...is quirkless?"

The doctor nodded. "Yes Mrs Midoriya. Izuku is quirkless. I hope that you will continue to treat him as you have been and make sure to watch out. Many of those who are quirkless, tend to commit suicide before finishing high school. And those who do make it to adulthood, somehow get killed by others."

Inko dropped her gaze to the floor, watching it for a moment. She finally took a deep breath and stood up. The doctor stood up as well and shook her hand.

"Thank you for your time, Doctor."

"Of course. I apologize for being forced to drop the bomb. I hope you and Izuku have a nice day. And good luck."

"Thank you." Inko bowed as the doctor left. Once the door shut behind him, Inko turned to Izuku who was in a daze of shock. Inko grabbed her purse and picked up Izuku before leaving the office. Izuku didn't make a single sound the entire way home. Inko set Izuku down in his seat at the table before putting her purse down and going to the kitchen to make katsudon, Izuku's favorite. Once dinner was made and eaten, Izuku went to watch All Might videos while Inko made a call to her husband, Izuku's father. After she finished telling him about it, Inko went to go check on Izuku. When she walked in, Izuku turned away from the screen and looked at her. He was sitting in the dark, the light from the computer screen as a backlight.

"Mom...?"

Inko rushed over and squatted down. Up close, you could see that his eyes were filled to the brim with tears.
