'THWACK' Snape hit you around the back of the head with his potions book making a groan escape your lips "Pay attention." he muttered before going to the front of the class, you heard Harry chuckling at your misfortune beside you. Looking over at him you gave him a small pout, this happened every class and it didn't help that you were sitting next to your crush. You weren't good at most classes in Hogwarts, you were honestly surprised as to how they let you stay this long. The class continued, dragging on until it finally as if an angel blessed the classroom it ended. You gathered your things as fast as you could, speedily leaving the cursed room.

Luckily you had managed to leave the class at the same time as Harry, who was now walking beside you on the way to his next class. You couldn't help but blush just being in his presence, almost everybody knew about your crush on him as you didn't try and hide it at all. Honestly, all the students were dumbfounded as to how Harry himself hadn't worked it out. Silently you two were walking together until out of nowhere Ron popped up, "(Y/N)! Hey can I talk to you for a minute?" he asked in a happy tone "uh s-sure?" you stuttered out of confusion, walking off to one side with the ginger boy, your heart buzzed with joy as you saw Harry looking at Ron with a huge smile on his face. You wish he looked at you like that.

The two of you were standing facing each other not too far from the D.A.D.A classroom, clearing his throat nervously Ron shuffled his feet. "So... (Y/N) I wanted to ask you something- D-don't talk until I'm done okay?" he spoke softly, his eyes full of hope as he kept glancing between your eyes and the ground. Nodding slightly you shifted your weight, waiting for what he had to say. "I know that you like Harry... I mean everyone does... but I uh..." he let out a quiet nervous chuckle "(Y/N) I have had feelings for you for a long time now and I just needed to tell you. I want to be with you- well if you want to of course- we don't have to" "Ron..." you interrupted, you hated to do this to him. Ron was one of your few friends, he knew exactly how you felt about this. "No... I don't want to be your girlfriend, you clearly know that already-" "But if you just give me a chance!" he started, he placed his hand on his chest. You shook your head, sighing out of frustration "Ron. No." You spoke with a stern tone, you couldn't continue this conversation any longer. Turning around you walked away as fast as you could.

Your day carried on as normal from that point on, you went to your classes, did your homework and hung out in the common room with the twins. You avoided telling them about Ron's crush on you, you knew that if you told them they'd torment him for the rest of his life about it. That was when it happened, Harry stormed into the common room and glared daggers at Ron, who had been sitting in the corner watching you for hours "Ron what the bloody hell do you think you're doing?!" he rhetorically yelled at the ginger, who stood up defensively glaring back at his best friend "What do you mean?" he responded with caution "Why did you tell (Y/N) you had feelings for her when you know that I do!!" he yelled back anger seething from him, your heart stopped when you heard those words. He clearly didn't know you were in the common room.

Everyone was shocked at they saw the scene in front of them, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley fighting over you. Blinking rapidly you shakily stood up, a mixture of fear and serotonin over the current situation. "Harry?" you spoke softly, his blue eyes widened they met with yours, "oh uh... hi (Y/N) you didn't-" he chuckled awkwardly, "I saw that and I didn't accept his confession" you watched him relax slightly, hope and curiosity in his eyes "please don't fight over me" you sighed softly. Even though you liked Harry, you didn't want him to yell at or even possibly fall out with his best friend over wanting to be with you. Both of the boys seemed to be at a loss for words as you walked over to the messy-haired brunette, taking his rough hands in yours "Harry, I want to be with you. I have since second year, everyone knows that. So why didn't you ask me?" your cheeks flushed red as you confessed your feelings for him, he seemed shocked at your confession even though you didn't know how evaded the truth for so long. "R-really? holy shit (Y/N)" he laughed, picking you up and spinning you around causing you to giggle uncontrollably. Even if the two of you were happy, Ron certainly wasn't as he ran out of the common room and up to the boys' dormitory.

However you were too in the moment to care, holding Harry's cheek with one hand you leaned in kissing him softly. After a couple of seconds, you pulled away, the two of you smiling like idiots "I'm glad to finally be yours, Harry".
