Four strangers from different walks of life meet on a cruise and spend an unforgettable week together. All of them on their own self-discovering journeys, and onboard for different reasons.

I woke up hours after getting back from the airport. Gael and I had a five hour flight from Florida back to California where we stayed in the same apartment building.
My body was exhausted, all I wanted to do was sleep but I'm sure we had work tonight.
Stomach growling, I texted Terrance and told him I was coming over for dinner even though it was later than the family would've liked, I'm sure. I'd kill for Kenya's air-fired teriyaki chicken!
I squinted my eyes as I turned the bathroom light on to pee. As I flushed and walked out of the bathroom, I was hit with a recent memory - Brooklyn. I couldn't get her out of my head and now she's gone.
Buzz! Buzz! My iPhone vibrated on my bed. I scooped it up to see who was texting.
It was Sky. She wrote:
Gf's gone🤪 come see me!

I clicked to download the photo in our thread and saw it was another risky picture. All Sky does is take pictures in her loft for her online following. I don't mind, she's none of my business.
Bored, I threw my phone back on the bed and got dressed after a shower.

"Uncle No-ee!" Monae screamed when she saw me enter their house. Jada ran up on me with her big sister and I hugged them both. Gael then walked in with Terrance who let us in and the girls left me for my best friend.
"Why are y'all so loud?" asked Kenya from the back of the house.
"Honey, look who I found on the street," Terrance baited his wife. Kenya came out of the room, patting her head under the scarf.
She lit up at the sight of Gael and I and hurried to embrace us. "Mmhm, I missed y'all so much!"
Then, all of a sudden, she switched up and slapped me. "That's for giving the girls candy before you left," she snarled then also hit Gael.
"And you, too, Gael! Y'all had them up all night," Kenya complained. "But I'm happy y'all are home. How was it?"
Gael and I just looked at each other which stirred concern in Terrance. I knew he caught on that we lied about the real reason we went on the cruise. Because I hated lying to him, I just avoided eye contact.
"It was fun," Gael spoke up when I couldn't.
"Oh," I remembered, "here's your souvenirs. You're welcome." I handed the family the small gifts and trinkets, courtesy of Gael and I.
