Sameera
I looked down to my watch and noticed just half an hour was left in lunchtime. I wanted to let my crew know about the fact that we should get some food into our systems now. So I put my writing instruments in my bag and moved closer to Anwar.
"Sameera...." suddenly I heard someone call my name. "Sameera..." No, more like whispering.
I looked around as to who must have summoned me, as I saw my crew was busy talking to the couple and there were no audiences.
I looked to my left, then right, but found no one. Then I turned back completely to look at a little girl smiling at me.
She waved her hand towards me and I pointed my index finger towards my face and mouthed "me" to confirm if she was waving towards me or not. She nodded to my gesture and in turn gestured for me to follow her.
I know we shouldn't follow strangers be it a grown up adult or a cute little child, but my curiosity got the best of me. And just come to think of it, what bad can happen by spending some time with such an adorable kid who likes me already.
I looked towards my crew and understood that they will be busy for another hour with the couple. I don't understand as to why Anwar is trying so hard to make them believe that there was nothing suspiciously unnatural regarding the incident of previous night.
Never mind, I have got a cute little girl to talk to.
I have always had a soft spot for kids in my heart, especially for cute kids having an even cuter smile. And the little girl here, who looks like a 5-6 years old, is so pretty.
She has tanned skin tone with neck length short curly black hair, chubby cheeks with a small dimple on her right cheek. She is wearing a pink knee-length frock that makes her look like a little fairy.
"Oh my little fairy, here I come." I muttered to myself.
"Hi little fairy. What's your name?" I went towards her and asked.
Her smile got even bigger than before but she didn't give me any verbal response. Though she likes me, I think she is a little nervous to talk to a stranger.
Now I regret for not carrying any candies with me today. I always keep some candies at my disposal. I look into my handbag to search for some, but there were none.
When I looked back at the girl, she wasn't there to my utmost surprise. I looked around and luckily I found her standing far away from me near an abandoned mostly broken, ruined house. She gestured for me to follow her. And I did.
"Why did you leave me standing there. Your sudden disappearance worried me." I complained only to be replied with silence.
"I am sorry I have no sweets with me right now, but I can buy some for you. Do you like chocolates?" Still no verbal reply. She only shook her head indicating a negative answer to my question.
Suddenly her expression changed and she looked scared. "Look you don't need to be scared of me, little fairy. I won't harm you. You are such a cutie that no one will ever be able to harm you."
She shook her head and pointed towards her left in a direction that I believe lead into the forest. I guess something in that direction must have scared her.
Then I looked down at her to find that she wasn't there, again. I looked around to find her near an old, tall banyan tree that marked the entrance of the vast woods, I mean tiny forest.
Before I could utter a letter, I heard a huge roar of some dangerous beast. Well at least that helped me to gain back my lost sanity and stop the kid from entering into the forest.
