(The music I linked is just EDM. The kind of music they play in clubs. It doesn't fit the chapter that much, it's just cool music.)

Winter break started tomorrow.
I didn't want to go home for the while we had off, but I didn't really have a choice. My family expected me to be home tomorrow, and I knew Scar missed me.
I knew Seb was staying at the school. He'd told me that his brother, Lin, and Lin's girlfriend, Grace were going to stay at Grace's house and Seb had also been invited. He very rudely declined. I wish I could do the same. I dreaded seeing my father again.
I'd never had a single good Christmas with my family. Stupid, broken family. I bet even Seb's family had been better, and they let him smoke!
"Hey." Seb called from the couch in our dorm. "There's a party later. A sort of last-day thing. Want to come?"
I glanced over to Seb, who was sitting to my left on the sofa in our dorm.
"I've never been to a party. Or at least, not the kind you're talking about." I replied.
"You haven't done a lot of things, have you?" Seb laughed. He was right, though. "It's at nine. Come or don't."
I thought about it for a while, finally coming to the conclusion that a party couldn't be too bad.
"Sure."
~...~...~...~
Lights.
Laughing.
God, why did I agree to this? Right, Seb. I'd started trusting him a bit too much.
"What'd you think?" Seb yelled in my ear, grinning.
"It's a bit loud!" I yelled back, wincing as someone turned the volume up even higher. Was that even possible?
"What?" Seb called, already making his way across the room.
I tried to follow, but immediately got lost in the sea of students, dancing, and two were even making out in the corner.
I stumbled into a chair by the counter and finally took a look around. From what I could see over the heads of my classmates, we were in a standard club. Disco ball, dance floor, drinks.
The walls were purple, though, that could've just been the lights, which, too, were purple.
A lot of people had drinks, though they were underage. At least we weren't on school grounds.
I knew some of the people around me. Most were older than me. Around Lin's age.
I recognized a girl from my science class. She had bright purple hair and a complexion like milk chocolate. Cute, I guess. I waved. She didn't wave back. Had I really expected her to?
Even though I'd met most of the students, I wasn't actually friends with any of them except Sebastian, and who knows where he was. I'd lost him in the crowd.
I tried to sit at the counter and look casual. I didn't accept any drinks. I already hated myself for the whole smoking incident of the last week. Some girl who was obviously drunk came up to me and tried to flirt with me. Then almost collapsed over the counter. I couldn't help but laugh. She got angry and walked off. Well, it was barely walking. More like stumbling. Like an ostrich trying to walk in heels.
I got a bit bored after a while and pulled out my phone. What a party animal, I know.
Treble_Harp: Hey! You on?
T1MST3R: Yeah. What's up?
Treble_Harp: Nothing. You?
T1MST3R: I'm sort of... at a club?
Treble_Harp: Ooh... you with anyone?
T1MST3R: Oh, shut up, Harp.
Treble_Harp: Yeah, yeah. Just don't get drunk. Your parents would freak.
T1MST3R: Worse. They'd probably kill me. Literally.
Treble_Harp: I don't doubt it.
There was an awkward silence where neither of us typed a word until finally I thumbed out 'gtg' and turned off my phone just in time for-
"Sebastian!" I cried.
The tall boy had almost fallen on top of me. He was dizzy and shaking. I couldn't get a good look at him, but it looked like he had a black eye. There were shards of glass in his hair.
What had happened?
"C-can we go?" He asked, choking on every word.
Oh god.
"Yeah, of course. Are you okay? Do you need a doctor or-"
"No. I just want to get out of here."
The next chapter will tell you what happened, though, you probably already got it.
Sorry this took so long. I'll write more when school's over. That's Friday. Then it's the break.
What're you guys doing over the break?
