Chapter Eight

The events of Civil war happened as you were on the plane home, your heart was in pain and your leg was in pain, you hadn't officially ended things with Steve, but you were sure he'd ended it after he found out about the accords, locking lips with Sharon Carter was his way of showing it.

"I don't know if I'm really worth all this." Bucky said to Steve, Steve had nothing too say because Bucky was worth it. "That girl, she helped me, she got hurt. She didn't even know me. Who was she Steve?" Bucky asked, "she was, she was my everything. Damn Buck I messed up twice." Steve said, "I liked her more than the Blonde woman." Bucky said smirking. "So do I." Steve said.

"What happened Steve?" Bucky asked, "I erm, i broke her heart. Twice. Maybe more, I don't know. The first time was when Sharon Carter kissed me, the second time I'm sure was when I ignored her after the accords and the third was when she saw me kissing Sharon Carter."  Steve said. "Your a punk Steve. She helped me even though you'd broke her heart, you don't get a girl like that every day.

You'd received a phone call from Steve, he needed you too help break his friends out and represent Scott and Clint in a trial. "I'm not helping them for you Steve." You said, "I need you too help Bucky. Please." He practically begged you. "once I've cleared Bucky's name I'll contact you but that's the last your going to hear from me." You said too him, "I'm so sorry Y/N. I really do love you." Steve said, you were silent for a second, "don't do that Steve. Don't do that to me. Don't promise me shit again. You've broken the same promise time and time again." You said putting the phone down.

Helping prove Bucky's innocence for the Vienna bombing was surprisingly easy, you sent the paperwork to the Wakandan authorities as soon as you could.

Steve, Bucky & Tony had a big fight, Tony believed Bucky was responsible for the death of his parents, it was going to take all the time you had but you needed to prove Bucky innocent. Once you did you'd sent all the evidence and paperwork to Tony.

The last time you saw Steve was when you helped him rescue everyone from the RAF, he'd informed you Bucky was taken to Wakanda by King T'Challa and was being put into Cyro.

Once Steve, Sam and Wanda left you felt a little empty, you didn't want to lose Sam but you know there was no other way. "I'm going to miss you Sammy." You said giving him a big hug, you gave Wanda a big hug and then looked to Steve, "Stay safe Rogers." You said standing there awkwardly, "Thank you for everything." He said kissing you on the cheek. 

When you returned back too New York you'd taken time off work. You were still working from home but it was less hectic that way, you knew that if you were in the office you'd take on everything that you could. The only down side to working from home was the memories it held. You'd taken a month of work and then returned.
