ℓυи¢н was... an interesting experience. The food was spectacular, hence silence hung and stuck in the lower atmosphere. Everyone was proper, and polite. A little girl's dream tea party has come to life. I expected someone to hold their pinkie up or some nonsense like that. Everyone ate in a slow, leisurely manner, which made me believe that lunch would never end.

I sat next to Evangeline, and tried to do things the way she did. I wasn't really taught how to hold a knife properly, or that I was putting the wrong fork in my food. When lunch was finally over, a man dressed in black walked over to whisper something in Evangeline's ear. She gasped. "Already? That was quicker than expected." The man whispered something else, and Evangeline nodded. She turned to the table, and gave a short sigh. "If Violett and I could be excused..." Everyone nodded, with curiosity burning in their eyes.

I was grateful for this excuse. Anymore silence and boredom and I may have died. We rose out of our seats, with Evangeline looking more graceful than I did, and stormed off to whatever the matter was. I trailed behind Evangeline, having no idea of where to go. I tried not to look around, because I would become distracted, and lose sight of her.

Evangeline's heels clicked on the floor in a way that made me homesick. I remember how everyone would know that my mom has arrived by the way they heard her footsteps. I felt my breath catch in my thought, and coughed. Evangeline gained a few steps, and I ran to catch up.

"Please tell me where we're heading?" I asked her. After a moment of hesitation, Evangeline replied. "The King and Queen are starting to gain curiosity about you, Violett. I think it's time for you to meet them." I was shocked. The King and Queen? Curious about me? I just got here! What will I say? How should I bow? Like a curtsy, or when I finish a dance routine and point my right toe out, and bend my left knee. . .

Thoughts swirled in my head, and I tried to follow Evangeline. She stopped at a two large doors made of dark wood, and delicate carvings that went into deep detail.

She took her hand, slightly trembling, and gave two sharp pounds that rang in the air. I bit my lip, and felt my heart pump blood. Then we both backed up as the large doors swung open to reveal a woman and man both standing in front of their throne. The woman had wrinkles, strawberry hair that was set firmly in place, and a large red gown with more ruffles than you could imagine. She wore a tight necklace that had a glowing red stone.

The man looked old as well, and his hair was black with grey tips showing the effect of aging. His ensemble was grey, and sharp. I let Evangeline take the first step, and curtsy. I followed her example. The Queen froze, big eyed, and she gripped the King's arm with such force that it must have left a mark.

The Queen stuttered, and looked at us, well me actually, and whispered to her husband in what seemed to be a weak voice. The King tilted his head, and whispered back. He turned his head again and studied my appearance. I swallowed hard, and felt goosebumps prickle onto my skin. What did they want from me, staring at me like that?

The Queen bit her lip, and started breathing very heavily. Evangeline walked a little closer, and I trailed behind. The Queen's chest rose and fell rapidly, and I was starting to get worried. The King appeared to take deep concern in her emotions, and patted her back reasuringly. His face was blank as he stared at me, and spoke. "You're name?" He demanded. My name?...How can I say my name with out truely knowing who I am? I do not know my name, everything in my past is different than I thought. I don't think I know anything anymore. I sighed, knowing that they're expecting an answer. Now.

"I have many names, you see, but I'm known as Violett to most." I wavered. I loud sob broke through as soon as I ended. The Queen turned her head, and rested her head on the King's shoulders. The color of the fabric turned darker as the Queen let out her tears. Shock waves coursed through her body, causing her to shake and tremble. This wasn't what I was expecting. The Queen was sad, and vulnerable. The King looked expressionless.
