The group had all set up their tents and decided they'd sleep on their own, with two people on guard as always. Mickey and Owen were on guard that night. No one could sleep though. It was a rough night for everyone but they had no idea how bad it was for Dale that night.

The monsters seemed to be family Dale concluded. As he was being dragged away he could hear them talking. The little demon-girl called the monster-man 'father' and they both had the same tentacles, so it was only logical that she was the big guy's daughter.

They dragged him to, what he only could guess, was a torture chamber. It was hidden in the wall behind a specially thick mound of ivy. A pang of anxiety flooded Dale's thoughts as he saw the whole room. It was littered with torture instruments. And in the middle of the room, Dale could see, was a metal chair. His breath hitched in his throat. It was an electric chair.

The group managed to finally get some sleep, but not much. They woke up early and packed up. Teddi was awake and caught up to speed with what had happened. Gwen comforted her as she cried for a bit. Once they all started walking, no one said anything, just like the day before after Dale was taken.

"We need to think of a plan on how we can get Dale back." Teddi stated. Everyone agreed with nods expect one. Jesse was looking down. He had an expression of guilt plastered across his face. "Jesse? Are you in?" Teddi asked suspiciously, wondering if there was something he was hiding from the group.

"I-," Jesse began to reply, but seemed hesitant to say it, "I-I don't think I want to- I don't think I should go with you to find Dale." He said, looking down, feeling completely guilty.

..."WHAT!?" Teddi and Fin exclaimed at once. Gwen, Mickey and Owen just looked shocked and disappointed. "I-I have my reasons as to why, but I don't think I can go with you guys, I-I'm sorry." He said, not exactly explaining himself. Jesse turned and picked up his things, but before he started walking away, he turned back. "Hopefully I'll run into you guys again. If I'm not dead before then."

"HOLD ON JUST A SECOND! YOU AREN'T GOING ANYWHERE!" Fin shouted as he stomped after him, his own backpack in hand. "Owen, you should follow them to make sure they don't rip each other apart. Don't worry though, with all their shouting, I'm sure we'll find you guys again." Mickey said with a warm smile. Owen nodded and ran after them. Fin, Jesse and Owen went off and left Mickey, Gwen and Teddi on their own to go find Dale.

-

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T THINK YOU WANT TO FIND DALE?!" It had been hours and the sun was setting, yet Fin was still shouting at Jesse for bailing. Owen and Jesse were tired of Fin shouting but neither of them had the energy to argue with him. They both just looked at each other with tired expressions and kept walking.

After a couple more hours, it was night. And Fin was still ranting. Jesse was way beyond tired and had had enough of Fin's bullshit. "I DON'T WANT TO SAVE DALE BECAUSE I'M THE REASON HE'S IN THIS SITUATION AT ALL!" Jesse snapped. Fin and Owen looked at him in surprise. "What do you mean it's your fault?" Owen asked.

"I-I told him to stab her, I miscalculated. I was wrong and it ended up with Dale getting caught in the crossfire. If we go and save him and I'm there, I don't think he'll want to see me." Jesse explained, tears welling up, threatening to escape his eyes.

"So it's his insecurities that are making him think this." Fin thought. He didn't want to seem soft so he just said they should set up camp there. "I'll take watch first, then Owen can you take the second watch?" Fin asked, "Yeah, no problem." Owen said, knowing all too well that this was Fin's way of apologising for being an asshole all day. With a knowing smirk, Owen began setting up the tents while Fin and Jesse set up the sleeping bags and weapons to be at the ready.

Pain. That's all Dale could feel. He was strapped into the electric chair and was just electrocuted by it for the 100th time. The father monster, who's name he now learnt was Luther O'Neil and the little girl's name was Sarah O'Neil, had beaten him up pretty badly for a couple of hours by then. He had already had two fingers chopped off as well. A broken nose, dislocated shoulder, a massive gash across his forehead, three toes chopped off and rope burns on his wrists and his ankles as well.

Another jolt of electricity ran throughout his entire body. He let out a piercing shriek. He wasn't sure how much longer he could take this. "PLEASE! PLEASE STOP! I CAN'T TAKE MUCH MORE OF THIS!" He cried out, but knew what reply he was going to get. A swift slap was thrown across his face from Luther. "You speak when spoken to boy." He said in a low gravelly voice, threats laced through every word. "Yes- yes sir." Another slap. Blood was pooling under the chair from all of the cuts on his body.

Luther picked something up off the medical tray behind Dale. He couldn't see what it was but it sounded sharp from the noise it made coming off the metal tray. Luther walked around in front of him so Dale could could see what he was holding. It was a knife.

Ooooh another cliffhanger. So now you know a little more about the monsters and what is happening to Dale. You also know why Jesse didn't want to go after him. Oooo the story is only just coming together! I'm so excited that I wrote three chapters in one day hahaha.
