Teddi was walking in front of the other two, Dale was now walking without help and was only stumbling every now and again. "Have you tried tying the vines together? Maybe they'd be stronger in a larger quantity." Dale observed, the girls let out loud sighs of annoyance. "Dale! For the last time! The roots are weak, the vines are as strong as steel but it's no use since the roots will just fall down no matter how many you tie together!" Teddi exclaimed, rubbing her temples to keep herself from murdering him.

After a couple more hours of the trio walking, they decided they would set up camp for the night. They figured it was a better system to walk during the day and take 3 breaks a day, 1 for food, 1 for water and 1 for rest. Then they would set up one big tent with the 3 tents they had and two of them would sleep in there while one would keep watch, then every couple of hours they would swap guard and etc. until morning.

They set up their tent and sleeping bags and had Dale keep guard while Teddi and Gwen slept. Dale was sitting in front of the large tent, bored out of his mind just making random noises with his mouth. After about an hour of keeping guard he heard loud footsteps rapidly approaching them. Alarmed, he picked up the torch from his bag, flipped it on and started creeping towards the source of the noise. The footsteps starting getting louder and louder, Dale began getting more and more nervous, knowing that if it was a monster, he would have no chance of winning the fight.

He rounded another corner, noting down where he turned so that he didn't lose where the girls were. The footsteps, he could confirm, were human which made it even worse somehow. They sounded just around the corner, within a couple of seconds he would be face to face with whoever this was. He turned the corner and was tackled to the ground. His vision blurred momentarily and his senses seemed to glitch as he hit the floor.

Once he regained vision he saw that the thing that had tackled him was actually a teenage boy, looking around the same age as him. The newcomer was laying on top of him in shock, his legs in between Dale's. Dale looked up at his face and blushed at how close the boy was to him. "Damn, he's hot. Why does he have to be so close? And- OH MY GOD! HIS LEGS ARE IN BETWEEN MINE!!"  Dale gay panicked and shoved the boy off him. "Who are you!?" He shouted, shaking his thoughts away to ask the important questions. "I-uh-I'm Jesse, Jesse Campbell. I was kidnapped and woke up here. I'm guessing by the looks of you, you were kidnapped and woke up here too?" The boy, Jesse, stated. He was clearly very observative. "Um, yeah, my name's Dale, I ran into two girls about a week ago and have been travelling with them ever since, they're just around here." Dale explained, beginning to walk back to camp with Jesse following. "Don't ask them about climbing the vines, they seem to get annoyed whenever I mention any ideas regarding them." Dale laughed over his shoulder. Jesse glanced at him and quickly looked away, blushing. "He's cute. I like his laugh." Jesse thought to himself, shaking his head, he couldn't believe he was crushing on a boy he only just met.

Once the boys reached camp Jesse gasped in reaction to their idea of forming a large tent and having one group member keep guard, liking the set up. The girls were still asleep and luckily no monsters had come visit them whilst Dale was gone. "This is our camp for the night, we do this thing where we take 3 breaks a day, 1 for- " Dale whispered, explaining how their system works. "You can sleep out here for the night and I can introduce you to the girls tomorrow morning, or we ca-" He was interrupted when Jesse put his finger to Dale's lips. He blushed as Jesse put has hand back in his lap. "I'll just stay guard with you for the night, if that's ok with you." He said with a smirk, knowing Dale liked him back. "This should be interesting." He thought. Dale blushed even more at the thought of staying out there all night with him. "I-uh, yeah sure...I guess." Dale gave a weak smile and sat back down against the wall, using his sleeping bag as a seat. Jesse followed suit. Both were anxious for the arrival of morning, neither knew how the girls would react or what lay in store for them the next day.

Oof, another cliffhanger, I know, I'm so evil hahahahahaha. Thanks for sticking around, this is just getting started. I've planned a whole lot more for this story in the future and I can't wait for it all.  Anyways,
