Hermione back away and went to stand beside Draco, he took her hand and activated the porkey

They arrived to Central Park, Hermione almost tripped on her heels and Draco wrapped a arm around her waist to keep her upright

"Mr. Malfoy? Ms. Granger?" I'm Pericia McRay, I'll be your guide during your time in New York" a petite woman with brown hair and blue eyes said

She was beautiful and even Hermione couldn't deny it, she was jealous

"I'm Draco Malfoy" Draco said and extended his hand, his other arm still wrapped around Hermione

Pericia took his hand and saw the arm around Hermione, Hermione saw a flash of jealousy pass threw her blue eyes, quickly recovering and smiling at Draco

Hermione extended her hand and shook it with Pericia "I'm Hermione Granger" she introduced

Pericia squeezed Hermione's hand a little tighter than necessary and gave Hermione a smile that anyone with working eyes could see was fake

Hermione took her hand back and gave it a subtle shake

For a tiny woman she really has a tight grip

Pericia led them towards a town car, Draco's arm left Hermione's waist but held her hand, the ground was muddy due to the rain, Hermione dismissed it as a act of making sure she doesn't fall flat on her face and make a fool of herself, even though it was sending the butterflies that have taken permanent residence when it came to Draco in her stomach haywire

They got in the car and the driver sped away

"How long have you two been together?" Pericia asked, jealousy clear in her tone, Hermione turned to the woman

Draco being oblivious Draco didn't hear the tone

"We're just friends" he said, Hermione saw Pericia smirk at this, she also noticed that the guide checking Draco out

"I know some places I could show you, if you want?" Pericia said, her tone turning sultry and she winked, Hermione rolled her eyes

When Draco took a second to answer, she felt all hope of taking the next step with Draco deflate, she turned to the window and was about to cancel out the conversation when Draco spoke up, even if she already knew his answer, she just loved to torture herself

"Actually, I know New York pretty well, I was planning on showing Hermione some of my favourite places" Draco answered, leaving Hermione speechless and Pericia blushing in embarrassment

Draco turned to Hermione

"I came here with you and I know some places that you will fall in love with, they are full of historical information and there is a library that I may probably regret showing you but it'll be worth it, what do you think?" Draco asked, his cheeks pinking up slightly
