Hermione was getting ready for her date, although she couldn't help but keep thinking of her blond hair companion who was next door

No, I'm not sure, but I am done waiting around for Draco

Sighing she looked into her bathroom mirror while she put on her red lipstick, she was wearing a black strapless dress that went up to her mid-thigh and red heels, she didn't know where Finn was taking her but she decided to dress up

She heard a knock at the door and quickly fixed her hair, she opened the door and was greeted by Draco who was wearing a black shirt with black sweatpants, his hair was wet so Hermione guessed he had showered

"Malfoy! What are you doing here?" Hermione asked

"I finished reading 'Pride and Prejudice' I can see why you like it" he said

"You did?"

"Yeah, although now I'm wondering if you could let me b-" he was cut short by Hermione's hotel phone ring

"One second" she whispered, she answered and it was the receptionist telling her that Finn was waiting for her downstairs

She hung up and turned to Draco, she didn't noticed he was checking her out

"Finn's here, what were you going to say?" Hermione asked

Draco looked at her and quickly shook his head

"Um...I was wondering if you could let me borrow 'the shining' don't worry, I'll take care of it" he said

"Yeah...it's in my room, anything else?"

Tell me not to go

"No, have fun Granger"

Hermione nodded sadly, she grabbed her purse and left, not looking back to see Draco looking at her longly, wishing for her to turn back

She went down the elevator and tried to calm her nerves, she hadn't been on a date in years, holding out for a certain blond person to show interest in her

She saw Finn and he made his way to her, taking her hand in his, he kissed her knuckles

"You keep surprising me Hermione...you look beautiful tonight" he whispered

Hermione blushed slightly

"Come on" he led her out

They walked out and outside there was a limo, the driver got out and opened the back doors

Hermione gasped, it's not the first time she's been on a limo but it always surprises her

They hopped in and Finn gave her a tour of New York, taking her to public places, not noticing that Hermione would get uncomfortable with the looks people gave

They went to eat at a private restaurant, Hermione tried her best to seem interested but Finn would talk about things that Hermione didn't like

The night ended and Hermione just wanted to crawl into bed and read, they arrived to Hermione's hotel and she gave him a kiss on the cheek, but he took her waist and smashed their lips together, she tried to push him off but her would pull her closer

"Finn...stop" she begged

"Come on Hermione, stop playing hard to get" he whispered and put one hand on her bum

"Finn...no, get off" she said, pushing him away harder

He took her wrists and gripped them tightly, she whimpered in pain, she tried to pull away even harder to no avail, fear settled in

"Get off!" She yelled

He released one of her wrists and slapped her, using her free hand she cupped her face

He grabbed her jaw and pulled her closer

"Yo-"

He never got to finish his sentence because he was yanked away from her, Hermione fell to the floor and sobbed

"Hermione!" Someone yelled, they ran to her and knelt in from of her, she flinched away from them

She heard a growl and they got up and left, she heard punches being thrown but she couldn't see through her tears

A few seconds later the same person came back, Hermione smelled green apples and expensive cologne and quickly realized who it was

"Draco!" She cried, wrapping her arms around him he did the same

"I'm here love, I'm here"

Hermione cried, he placed one arm under her legs and picked her up bridal style, he said something but Hermione didn't listen, she was holding tightly to Draco

He took them back to his room, Hermione didn't protest, she wanted to be with him, she didn't want to be alone

He placed her on a couch and went to his luggage, taking out a shirt, a sweater and a pair of sweatpants he handed them to her

"You can change into these if you want" he whispered softly

Hermione nodded, he gave them to her and went into the bathroom, when Hermione heard he closed the door she stripped down and changed into his clothes, feeling instantly safe in the baggy clothes

She walked to the bathroom door and knocked softly, he opened it and Hermione hugged him

"H-how did...h-how did you know?" She whispered

Draco hugged her tightly and kissed the top of her head

"I was downstairs on the phone when I heard you yell, I'm so sorry Hermione" he whispered

Hermione pulled away from him slightly, looking at his face

"Why are you apologizing?" She asked

"I let him hurt you, I swore...I swore I would protect you"

Hermione looked into his grey eyes, quickly glancing to his lips, she went on her tip toes and kissed him softly, pulling back embarrassed she tried to pull away from his embrace only for him to hold her tighter

"Don't worry Hermione, we'll think nothing of it, come now, let's get you to bed" he whispered

Hermione nodded and he led her to the bed, she crawled in and he covered her with the duvet, he made move to leave but Hermione took him by the arm

"Don't leave me" she whispered

Draco stood there for a moment, contemplating on what to do, after a while he crawled in and Hermione wrapped her arms around him

"Thank you Draco" she whispered

He kissed the top of her head and she drifted to a dreamless sleep
