Hermione

I'm sorry Harry, you'll become a widower with a son, I am going to murder your wife

What is this? Who would sleep in this?

She literally took out and replaced all my clothing

Damn it Ginny

Hermione sighed in defeat, Ginny was going out of her way to put Hermione in compromising positions

She would have made a great Slytherin

She's a meddling witch

Hermione took out a pair of too short silk shorts and a tank top

How many years do you think I'll get in Azkaban?

For first degree murder? Life

For accidental manslaughter? Depending on how accidental it was

You're the brightest witch of the age, you can get away with murder

...

Did I?

Yes you did

Hermione removed the towel around her body and changed, she looking into the mirror and reluctantly agreed that she looked attractive

Okay fine maybe I won't kill Ginny

Hermione grabbed her cardigan and put it on, she grabbed her Stephen King book

The shinning

She had a habit of reading his books before going to bed, granted she didn't sleep because she was terrified a rabid dog or a demented clown would break into her house and kill her gruesomely, she couldn't stop

She prepared some tea and waiting around

She tried to get the thought of Draco who was next door to her out of her head

If you two were together he would protect you from said rabid dog or demented clown

Draco? The same Draco who ran away screaming like a girl when we were younger?

Right...maybe you'll have to protect him

At least he'll be beside you

She looked at the wall, she had begun to realize that whenever she read a muggle book, he would ask her what it was about, the next few days she'll catch him reading the novel and actually discussing it with her

That was one of the many reasons why she had fallen in love with him

He matched her intellectual energy

Back at Hogwarts, he was her competition, she not only wanted to prove herself to the wizarding world that she belonged there, she wanted to make him notice her, she wasn't the most attractive girl when they were younger but she did have the brains

And even if they had a rivalry going on between them, he gave her competition, they were the smartest, probably the whole school, going head to head in every class

The only class that he seemed to beat her at was in potions, and even if it looked like she hated it, she admired him for it, watching him prepare the ingredients with such delicacy made her question what else he could do that came just as easily to him

Could he cook?

With technique like that? Maybe

And watching him on the broom during quidditch, how he guided his broom with such ease made her stare at him for hours

She smiled, remembering that he had begun to read Pride and Prejudice, only added fuel to the roaring fire in her soul

He reminded her of Darcy, she was a spoiled brat who relied on his family's fortune, but over the years of working with him, she began to notice a big softy, especially when it came to his friends, Harry had told her about Dobby and how he knew everything about the golden trio

And she also knew that he belonged to the Malfoy's, she quickly figured it out that it was Draco who would spend hours talking about them to the house elf, when she begun with S.P.E.W. One day she received a very generous amount of galleons, at first she didn't know who it was from, but one day it clicked, Draco has sent her the donation

Who else has that much money laying around?

Saying she hated him would be a big lie, she hated the way he treated her and her friends but she never hated him, she misunderstood him, and his actions but she had always harboured feelings towards him, many feelings

During the war, when Harry was presumed dead, she saw Draco standing with the good side, all she wanted to do was go to him and don't let him slip from her grasp

She tried to move but Ron was holding her hand, when she watched him go from the light to the dark, she could swear everyone heard her heart shattering

When Harry came back and Draco threw him his wand, she knew, she had always known, he would have her heart and the all power to destroy her

When they arrested him and gave him life sentence at Azkaban she had begged her friends to plea for his case, it took some convincing but eventually they caved in and pleaded for Draco Malfoy, the same boy who used to make their lives living hell

Ginny had figured out the true reason why Hermione was so insisten on pleading for Draco, after all he had hurt her the most

When Ginny confronted her she tried to talk herself out of it, this went on for three days until she caved in and told the girl the whole truth

Hermione took the water off the fire, preparing her tea she went into the living room and summoned her reading glasses

She read for a while, but she couldn't help but glance at the wall that connected her room to his room

She put her book away, she knew she couldn't focus on it if he was in her mind

He was always on her mind

She went to sleep dreaming of him, she woke up thinking about him

All she wanted to do was kiss him, drown in him, become one with him

She had given up her power to him, something she swore she would never do, give herself to a man, let a man control her, but something told her, something calmed her ease by telling her that even with all the power in the world that he led over her head, he would never hurt her, never make her question herself and her worth, if anything he would empower her, make her feel like a Queen, she gave him all the power

He had her mind, body and soul under his command

And the most ironic thing is, he didn't even know it
