Ji-Pyeong stood outside of Swanjewel observing the rings displayed on their window. The cars whizzed by behind him, everyone getting on with their life, unstoppable. But he stood transfixed, like something was strangling his ankles halting him from moving forward. 

It wasn't a spur of the moment that he was there. He had planned it for quite a while now.

Two weeks before, he had placed an order in their shop for a two carat princess cut diamond ring. You know how you don't choose something but they choose you? That's exactly what happened when Ji-pyeong saw that ring. It dazzled and spoke to him like it was alive, asking him to take it home because that's where it belonged.

Unfortunately, the size he wanted wasn't available at the moment, so they told him to pick it up later.

The shop called him the day before that his ring was ready to be delivered. That's the thing Park Dong-cheon wanted to tell him when he  was with Dal-Mi. He wanted to surprise her over the weekend, all the arrangements already made. But seeing how shook he was after that weird dream, he didn't want to wait anymore.

He was about to propose to her today.
