"Park Dong-cheon."
Dong-cheon knew that call, already expecting the outcome of their situation. Han Ji-pyeong was a force that didn't budge for anyone. He was that excruciating pain in the ass when it came to business. Anything out of place caught his eye in a nanosecond. He never stopped trying though.
"Yes?" he said, placing a cup of coffee in front of Director Han.
"Explain this," Ji-pyeong said, holding out the hard copy of a start-up, Ko Gil-Dong Project's presentation.
Dong-cheon looked around in pretense. "How did this end up in your table?"
Seeing how Ji-pyeong was starting to curse at him, he gave his accurate answer. "It came by mail and I had a good feeling about it.
"Orphans struggle economically once they leave the orphanage since they're between adolescence and adulthood. This start-up pairs each orphan with a sponsor who will help them stand in their own feet."
Ji-pyeong stared at him skeptically, sighing.
"The CEO himself is from an orphanage, so he's very passionate." Dong-cheon continues to make his pitch better. "It's such a great cause."
Ji-pyeong flipped over the pages of the presentation, his cold heart thawing slowly. How he wished someone came up with this when he had turned eighteen. But then again, he was happy in his own way because otherwise, he wouldn't have met halmoni or Dal-mi.
