.Chapter Twenty-Five.

As Zach and his girlfriend, April walked into the same movie theater, I about had a heart attack.

"Don't worry about them, Ayame, you're with us," Sam said, elbowing me in the arm. I was too afraid they see me, especially April. Reilly suddenly leaned forward in his seat to look past Ronald and stare into my eyes.

"So, where did you come from? How did you and Sam meet?" As Reilly started to throw questions at me, Jem who was sitting next to him punched him, once again.

"Shut up, you talk to much!" Jem pouted. I couldn't help but suddenly feel more stressed out every time someone looked at me. My eyes locked Zach and April, thank God they were sitting in the front row. Eventually, the movie started, and the room got dark. I breathed a relieved sigh. All I had to do was stay low and they wouldn't catch me.

Throughout the entire movie, I stared at the seats Zach and April were in. I didn't even pay attention to the movie. Jem was crying like a baby at the end of it. Reily was laughing and the two of them argued as the group left the room. Sam stretched her hand over her head and smiled at me.

"Ah, what a great movie, huh?" Sam said. I nodded my head slowly. I guessed she could see I didn't really care and looked down.

        "Um, I'm sorry-"

"Don't worry, I just feel bad because you came to have fun, but in the end you didn't," Sam interrupted me. Now I was feeling like the bad guy. I quickly grabbed Sam's hands and held them close to me.

"No! You're wrong! I had a lot of fun today, I'm glad I got to meet all your friends and hang out with you guys, really," I said. Everyone was smiling at me.

"You're a cool chick, Ayame, you're welcome to hang out with us anytime." Reilly winked at me. Jem didn't mind then and also patted me on the back.

"I feel like we're going to be good friends," Jem smiled. I never felt so loved, I laughed. As our group was standing out in front of the movie theater doors, I wasn't paying attention to who was coming out.

        "Ayame?"

It was that voice. I looked over Sam's shoulder to see Zack staring at me, with April clinging to his side. She looked surprised, then pissed off. Sam quickly grabbed my hand and turned around to face him.

"Sup, Zack?" She said coolly. She was calm, calmer than I was. My hands were shaking and everyone around us gave us the questioning gaze. "I didn't know you were here, that's so cool!" Her hands gripped mine.

"Yeah, what a coincidence," Zach laughed. At that time, April was staring at me. I could tell she was staring at the bandage on my face. Everyone was quiet for a couple of seconds. I didn't know what to say myself, since April was death glaring me. I felt helpless but Sam holding my hand made me stay on my feet, she protected me, standing in front of me, and putting up at fight. As the time ticked by, Reilly took my hand from Sam's and pulled me closer to him.

"Haha, well it was nice meeting up, come on guys, lets go hang out at the food court," Reilly said. He had a smile on his face while he spoke, but his voice sounded irritated. I was then drug along with the rest of my friends, leaving Zach in a confused state, and April still holding his arm like a puppy dog. It didn't bother me, since that was his girl friend, but there was no reason for her to get jealous over me. Reilly led me to the food court and everyone sat down at a table. "So, what was that all about?" He asked.

"Ah, drama. Don't worry, don't worry," Sam tried to reassure him. He didn't look convinced at all. A hand suddenly touched the side of my face that was bandaged.

"Why was she staring at this, I saw her giving you a dirty look," Jem said. I lightly brushed her off.

"I don't know, really." How was this not going to break out into some kind of fight? Sam rested her hand on mine and smiled.

"Don't worry guys, just make sure to protect her from April, you know how she is," Sam sighed.

"Ha! We know too well. Shes such a slut, God!" Jem crossed her arms over her chest and kicked back in the chair. I didn't want to ask and Sam saw me getting uneasy.

"Alright guys, lets eat! What ya'll want?" Sam winked at me and everyone suddenly was throwing out orders. I was happy it blew by quickly, but I turned around in my chair to see April walking around with Zack, and she was looking at me. I had a feeling this wasn't the end to her sick game.
