Wendy woke up the next morning with a pink tint in her vision, dialing down from red on Monday, the dinner being on Friday. She slid her feet out of bed, and walked to her closet, feeling like a new Wendy. She decided on wearing something a bit different.

She did her hair in a high pony tail and applies only Chapstick as usual. She placed a black plain choker on and layered it with a silver chained star necklace. She did her bathroom routine and ate breakfast, all before anyone in the house could wake up. There was ten minutes before she usually would leave but, what the heck? She sighed, bag on back and phone in hand, and she slid her signature blue Converse shoes on. Wendy start walking and grabs her headphones from my skirt pocket, plugging it into her phone. She clicks on Daddy Issues and the slow aesthetic music fills her head.

She starts thinking.
I hate Pan.....what is a good torture for pervs- oh! Use their weakness against them. My body and flirtatiousness! Wendy was mad, no, raging because of Pan. She trusted him, and actually thought he was nice for a split second. Tragic mistake, eh? Letting a guy mindlessly kiss and tease you and say he's your "friend"? Yup! Total mistake!

Oh, Disney. I think you know what's about to go! Wendy starts skipping a bit and twirling as Copy Cat from a girl named Melanie Martinez starts playing. She hums the lyrics as she meets the school's white paved grounds and sits on a bench by the school sign, the usual meeting place for her and her friends.

Peter sighs as he goes through his photos. He sees on of Wendy from that party he took without her knowing and he clicks his phone off. He looked to his left to see the clock that reads 6:01 am. Peter sighs. He couldn't sleep last night so he got ready a little early for him. Maybe he'd leave early so he wouldn't have the awkward honor of walking by Wendy. His parents left to work at 5:30 today for some urgent reason so he was alone in a huge mansion. He did need some air and just peace, so why?

He hopped off the couch and slipped on his signature green Converse shoes with his backpack on his back, phone in hand. The air softly blew in his face and he inhaled with his eyes closed. He enjoyed the walk. Birds chirped which he didn't mind, but other than that it was silent. As he walked, he repeated a three tuned whistle until a bit of the school came in view. His mind was clear and calm...until he saw Wendy.

She hates you!

Do I talk to her?

                    No! She'll hate you more!

I blew it!

Cry and beg for her forgiveness, idiot !

His mind was panicking and he almost started hyperventilating. Peter's chest squeezed in guilt. Then his eyes traveled to her outfit...Fuuuuu**! Her skin glistened in the sun's rays and her eyes twinkled. She looked like a goddess in his eyes. Peter wanted to go over there and beg on his knees in front of her and let her torture him as long as she would forgive him at one point. But he couldn't. Not yet at least. She didn't see him yet so he can still go to the other side of the courtyard.

Peter quickly turned and speed-walked to a shady tree, sitting under it.

He noticed she was acting different during homeroom. Wendy was almost silent the whole time. She wouldn't even glance at him! It's like he didn't even exist. When the bell rang, Alice told Wendy that she needed to get something for their gardening class with Ms. Rosetta from her locker and that she would meet her in class. All the kids rushed out, as well did their lovely art/homeroom teacher who needed to go to a teacher conference meeting, leaving Peter and Wendy together. Wendy was packing up rather quickly and Peter? Well, he finished but he pretended to be. He sharply inhaled and faced Wendy. "Darling?" His voice was queasy and unsure. She didn't flinch, nor did she glance at him, but continued packing. "Pan." Her voice was almost robotic due to the lack of emotion and he inwardly winced at his ego name as it fell from her mouth.

"I...I'm sorry. Okay? I...I-" He was interrupted. "Sorry? For what? Sorry that you weren't deceiving enough? Sorry that I didn't fall for your 'innocent' act? That you didn't finish me off? That you didn't get to toy with me longer? Sorry that you got caught? Well, I already knew that," Wendy's voice was now cold and hurtful as a sharpened blade and he tried to catch up to her as she left the room. "Wait! Please?" Her back was turned to him but she stopped. "I am sorry, and I hate to admit it but I've never been really sorry for hurting a girl before. I'm new to the girl who's just a friend thing, so I did a stupid things. Well, multiple stupid things, but I am genuinely sorry! Please!" He was pleading and his voice started to break. Peter's chest felt like it was being squeezed from the inside out. But then she did something he didn't expect.

She laughed.

It was a mocking laugh and he saw as he faced her that her eyes were red. Peter tried to contain a gasp as he a saw a single tear fall onto her left cheek. He was shocked. He never saw her cry, let alone be close to it. "Pan, you really are quite the charmer. Lovely performance. I didn't think anyone couldn't fall for that! Do you really take me for an imbecile?" She chuckled darkly and shook her head. She didn't believe him. Why would she? His reputation and ego was so stupid and bad that he didn't expect her to even look at him anymore.
        "Darling, I-"
"Don't 'Darling' me. Enough with the 'Darling', Pan. If you did care about me in the slightest, you would at least remember my first name and call me by it.''
No respond. Peter's head was hanged down, he suddenly took an interest in the floor tiles. Of course he remembered her name! He even remember her middle name! But she didn't know that.

Wendy scoffed. "I didn't think so. Get your head out of the dang gutters and look around and then think, Pan. Think hard about you philandering action. You disgust me now. I actually thought you were my friend. I was starting to actually feel comfortable around you and you ruined it. You took our friendship to your advantage! Did you even ever care about me and my feelings, for just a second?" He couldn't speak. Don't get him wrong, he wanted to scream at the top his lungs and tell her Yes! I love you! I'm sorry! Torture me and make me bleed if you want! I don't care, just say we can at least be actual friends! Please! but he was frozen with nerves and he felt sick to his stomach as she yelled at him. Peter could barely process it fast enough.

"I lo...lo..." He tried to speak but his voice was gone. When Wendt didn't get an answer, she speed-walked away to the garden and that's when he processed what just happened. He snapped out of his daze but it was too late.

"But I! ... I love you...Wendy." Peter was left alone in the deserted hallway as the bell rang, causing him to flinch and curse to him self, the rush to his History class.
