AND THEN SHE WAS GONE

Joshua
I got up at around 7:30 which was way too early for anyone in their right mind but I could barely sleep after Olivia left. I put on a white long sleeve shirt and dark blue jeans with my black Converse. Once I was ready I headed over to the nurses station.
"Good morning Nancy."
"Hello Joshua, how did you sleep last night?"
"Great and you?" I said with my elbow against her desk and my chin cupped in my hand.
"Well I didn't get any, I was on the night shift."
"Oh, well can I ask you the last time Olivia, you know did anything.
"Uh, well no not really. She more of a homebody."
"Well do I have your permission to take her to the gardens outside?" I asked innocently.
"How do you know about the gardens?"
"I saw them yesterday as I was looking around."
She sighed and said, "Fine. But don't go anywhere else but the gardens, got it?"
"Got it." I said with a head nod. And then I was off to go get Olivia.

Olivia
I heard a knock on my door expecting it to be Penny but when I opened the door I saw Josh.
"Good Morning Olivia!" He beamed.
"Hi."
"Would you like to go somewhere with me today?" He had a crooked grin on his face which made my heart melt. Bloody heel get a grip Liv.
"Do I really have a choice."
"Nope."
"What if I refuse to go with you."
"Then," he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and finished his sentence, "I'll do this!"
"Josh put me down." I was trying to wiggle out of his grasp but every time I did he held on tighter. As we passed the nurse's station I hear Nancy say,
"You two have fun!"
"You were apart of this?!?" I yelled. Nancy just shrugged and went back to typing on her computer.

Soon enough we were outside by the gardens.
"This is where you wanted to take me?" I asked.
"Yep." He said with a proud smile on his face. He took my hand in his and my face instantly got hot.

Joshua
I see Olivia's cheeks start to get pink and so do mine, so I turn around and start walking to save us both the embarrassment.
"Do you know what kind of flower that is?"
"Nope." I said.
"Oh, well it's a Chocolate Cosmos...and that one right there is a flame Lily!"
"What's that one called?" I asked, trying to test her.
"That's a Ghost Orchid."
"Wow, you really are a know-it-all aren't you." I laughed but Olivia didn't seem to think it was funny. I got nervous as I saw her eyes gloss over. "Olivia are you okay?" I asked softly.
"No, no I'm not okay!" And with that the tears started to run down her face "Don't you ever call me that again!"
She started to walk away but I ran after her and grabbed her arm. "Olivia, I di-
Slap
My face burned where her hand hit me.
"Don't ever touch me again, you know what don't even come near me." This time I let her go. And then she was gone.

I've decided to publish the book after the fourth chapter. I don't know if you guys like shorter chapters or longer ones better so just let me know. What do you guys think so far!! X
