"Hey, is Cooper here?"
Travis nods, a bright smile on his face, "Yeah! Come in, come in."
The girl sighs, walking into the all too familiar home. She really hoped this isn't a mistake. Her brothers convinced her to, lecturing her on how she literally just can't be without him any longer. They were right, of course, her heart couldn't take the pain of her dad in the hospital and the pain of missing Cooper all at once. She needs him. She does.
"You remember where his room is, right?" Travis asks.
"Yeah, yeah. I do."
Every step up the stairs increased her nerves. What if he didn't actually want to see her? What if he didn't want her anymore? It's only been two days since the last voicemail. Two days spent of her worrying about what she would do when she got to him. What she could possibly say. Now here she is, in front of his bedroom door. Hand on the knob whilst she tried calming herself.
"Travis! What are you doing with my door?"
There he is, she thought, there's my boy. And that thought is all it took for her to open the door.
