To all my friends, here's to many more adventures with you
In your lifetime, you'll come across an endless number of people
All unique in some way or another
Some will come into your life briefly to teach you something you unknowingly needed; then leave you, hurting perhaps, but wiser
And though you may wish you'd never met them in the first place because of the aching pain their absence has caused you, their presence in your life was a necessity
They gave you what was needed, now you must move on
Others come during your darkest times, when you've all but given up hope
They sit beside you in the darkness, holding your hand and gently lead you out when you are ready
They support you in all your endeavors, their love for you unfailing
Before you know it, they've walked through life beside you
You'll smile when you look at them thinking: "what would I ever do without you"
Treasure these people, keep them close to your heart
For they are your life lines, your very best friends
