The summer breeze sang a thousand melodies in my ears. It was nice to hang out with my best friend on a summer evening like this. I skipped down the stone path leaving Sunwoo behind me. He rushed to my side out of habit. We laughed as we almost tripped together.

We were dazing around the amusement park one last time before it closed for the summer. It was an annual thing we did ever since grade school. Sometimes we didn't even eat from all the fast rides we would go on.

As amazing as everything was going, the world seemed to slow down while we ran to the Ferris wheel line. This summer felt different in a good and bad way. I glanced over to Sunwoo as we slowed down to the line. He was staring around at people near.

A hurt from the pit of my stomach came to my throat and left a hard lump. It was hard to swallow, but I managed after seeing the line move forward a few steps. I pushed my bangs out of my face and smiled at Sunwoo.

Soon after a bit of waiting, we finally stepped onto the platform and took a seat in the rocking chairs. The Ferris wheel took us to the highest point and then stopped. Sunwoo pointed at the people below. They looked like ants walking everywhere.

I noticed something shadow like zooming through the crowd. It left me with an uneasy feeling. Sunwoo didn't seem to notice the figure. I didn't see how since it was very noticeable. Many people were pushed and shoved from it's force.

"Sunwoo-ah," I nudged him, "Do you see that?"

"See what?" he looked to where I pointed.

"What's knocking people down," I said.

"It's a prank, Yinjae," Sunwoo shrugged, "That Andy's coming American trend, you know?"

I looked at him for a moment. It couldn't have been planned or anything. Although I couldn't see their faces, it seemed people were startled just by their body language. Suddenly the figure came to a halt and seemed to turn towards us.

The creature or figure's eyes glowed a bright white with black in the middle. My heart stopped as it seemed to grow towards us. I cautiously looked at Sunwoo who seemed unbothered. He looked in the same direction, but nothing.

I assumed my mind was playing tricks on me. I blinked a few times and rubbed my eyes. The strange thing was no where in sight. With a sigh of relief, I relaxed back into the seat. Sunwoo pointed up at the stars that crept through the changing sky.

I felt a hand touching mine. Looking down, I gasped. It wasn't Sunwoo. It was the creature that hovered over Sunwoo. My heart began to sink into my knees. There wasn't anything I could do. Nothing Sunwoo could do either. We were stuck here.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Y-You don't see it?" I asked shakily.

"See," Sunwoo looked up.

The creature opened it's jaws to rows of sharpened teeth. It's mouth could have swallowed us both. It make a loud screeching noise before going to take a bite out of us. Sunwoo and I both screamed and closed our eyes tightly.

I woke up panicking. My palms were sweating as if I had been doing hard labor. I jolted up out of bed and to the mirror. It was just another nightmare. I assured myself that everything was okay and that it wasn't real nor would be. Yet it felt too real.

Taking a deep breath, I threw on a long sleeved shirt and some basket ball shorts. It was comfortable for me. Just before anything could be done, I heard a knock on my door. My dad slowly opened the door until he saw me.

"You're awake!" he smiled.

I nodded.

"Happy birthday,  Yinjae!" he said.
