Chapter 146: Reunion with Heroes

"Is this perhaps...."

"Yeah Xenovia. It must be." Kiba said with narrowed eyes as he summoned a sword. "This is a mist I can't forget even if I want to."

The group left the restaurant and noticed that aside from them, there wasn't a single person inside the building.

"It's the same as the mist we experienced in Kyoto." Erin remarked. "We are in an artificial dimension and we are transported by force."

They arrived at the spacious lobby and two men are openly sitting on a nearby black sofa

"Masaka-

*(WHOOSH!)*

A fireball flew towards them and it was aimed at Irina and Asia. Luckily, it didn't hit the girls. Ophis acted as their shield and she made the fireball vanish with ease

"T-Thank you very much." spoke Asia but Ophis didn't react to her gratitude

"It has been a while, Blue Dragon Empress, and Governor Azazel. The last time we met was in Kyoto. I made my greetings right away.  It's the return of your first move using Durandal at that time."

"Cao Cao." uttered Erin in a cold tone as she stared at the man leaning on the couch. The Goddess noticed that the wound in Cao Cao's eye was gone.

"My attack should have made him lose his eyesight completely. And Georg, huh? It seems like they found a way to bring him back to life." Erin shifted her gaze to the man beside Cao Cao

The holy spear wielder suddenly made a round of applause

"The match against Bael was magnificient. The intense fist fight of 2 people wearing Balance Breaker armor. It was a fight in which people who love to battle would be ecstatic about. So I would give my praise to the Gremory team."

Cao Cao faced Rias

"Congratulations on being the number 1 youth devil team. They are good servants, Rias Gremory. It truly is frightening."

"Should I be honored by being praised by one of the leaders of the terrorists? I do feel complicated. How are you feeling, Cao Cao?"

Rias puts on a sarcastic smile while staying on maximum alert

"Yeah I'm doing alright. It was only a short time when I saw you back in Kyoto, so this might be our first meeting." Cao Cao spoke the next words in amusement

"I was astonished at the sudden summoning. It certainly was a stimulating appearance."

"Stop!" Rias covers her face in embarrassment as she remembered the scenario. The Goddess shakes her head at this

"Yeah, I know that was partly my fault but this is really not the time to get embarrased Rias!" thought Erin as she glanced warily at Cao Cao

"So what was the reason in making this field in another dimension and for transporting us?" Azazel asked the man. "It must be a good for nothing plot, I guess?"

Instead of answering, Cao Cao fixed his stare at Ophis

"Ophis. I was wondering where you went with Vali. But for you to be here, I certainly didn't expect that."

"Nyahahaha. We are also shocked." Kuroka stood in front of Ophis. "I thought you'd head to where Vali is."

"We sent a different team over there. They are probably battling them now."

"What are they saying? Is Vali's team and Cao Cao's team against each other?" whispered Issei to Erin

"Possibly. Or they could be doing this because of another motive." Erin replied as she remembered Azazel's words
