[Tatsu's POV]

I haven't moved on from her didn't I... your smile, your fucking smile. Is still engraved in my fucking mind. I hate how you're still haunting me, a girl from years ago with the same smile. The same face I used to find and stare at before you caught me and I would turn red and look away.

After all this time, I'm still into you.

[Author's POV]

Months passed and Tatsu wasn't able to talk with them anymore. He got busier each day since he's focusing more on college rather than other stuff. Like the good nerd he was. He also works as a cashier near their home so he can save some spare money.

Though he denied it, he wanted to see Amy again. He missed her so much and the fact that his professors dumped them with homework, just made things worse.

[7:48 PM]

Tatsu's shift in the convenience was about to end and his eyelids were feeling heavy and his eyes were half-closed.

"You good?" his co-worker Carl shook him lightly. "Y-Yeah, I badly need sleep."

"I can see that."

As the last customer checked out their stuff, the doors were being locked and roller grilles being pulled down, Tatsu noticed the customer's wallet left on the floor, it was a cute light blue koala wallet that looked like the one he gave to his friend for Christmas years ago. He smiled at the memory before he snapped back to reality and realized someone just lost their wallet. He snatched his bag and sprinted outside the store. Fortunately, he saw the customer earlier at a distance and ran as fast as he can despite him being drowsy and was at the verge of fainting.

"Excuse me! Your- your wallet. Your wallet- dropped- floor. There." His words stuttered as he tried to catch his breath. Mercifully, he was able to catch up to them. The customer tilted their head as he repeated what he meant.

"You dropped your wallet over there." He then pointed to the direction of the convenience store he's working in.

"Oh my gosh, thank you so much."

"You're welcome." Tatsu replied with a warm smile before freezing to his spot and stared at the customer. It only lasted for a while but it felt like time froze.

"Uhh, do I... know you?" The customer looked at him with concern.

"Oh sorry, it's nothing."

The customer once again tilted their head examining the boy. They looked down to his chest and back up to his face.

That necklace... the customer thought. It was a necklace with a small "T" pendant that hung on a small silver chain. It revived a memory from them years ago.

"Hey, excuse me sir?" The customer suddenly said before Tatsu can go back to the convenience store to finish up the closing. Tatsu turned around. "Where did you buy that necklace? It looks pretty."

"Oh, this? It was just a gift from a friend." Tatsu replied holding the necklace. After he said that, the customer suddenly took off their face mask and beanie as Tatsu gasped.

"A- Amy!? From high school??" Tatsu felt tears well up in his eyes. "Nice seeing you here Tatsu." Amy said, grinning.

Without hesitation, Tatsu threw himself to Amy giving her a tight squeeze. Amy responded by hugging him back and patting his back.

Tatsu then felt embarrassed and pulled out from the hug. "S-Sorry about that, how are you? What are you doing here?"

"No it's fine, I'm doing great and I planned on visiting this place but I never expected you to be here." Amy stifled a laugh.

"Do you wanna hang out? My shift just ended. But like, I mean if you want to- because I- its- its getting late a-and you're probably tired." Tatsu stuttered as his heart started to beat faster and faster.

"Sure, how about I spend the night at your place and we hang out wherever we want tomorrow?" Amy suggested making Tatsu blush. "Sounds good to me. But I live in a dorm in my school now because it's easier and I don't have to pay for a ride."

"I'm okay with it. As long as I'm with my best bro." Amy said playfully as Tatsu grimaced.

Best bro ew, just call me-

"Oh hey look boba, want to buy some?" Amy suddenly said pointing to a boba shop from a distance they encountered while they were walking to the dorms. "No thank you, I'm saving money-"

"I can treat you."

"N-No really it's fine-"

"Don't be shy, c'mon."

"Fine, whatever you say. You're too kind."

"It's nothing~"

As they arrived to Tatsu's dorm, Amy plopped on to the nearest surface she saw and that was her friend's bed.

"So..." Amy tried to start a chat. "How are you? Feels weird seeing you like this for what,  like 7 years?"

"Yeah... I'm doing fine by the way, it's just that these stuff that's bothering me." Tatsu slapped the papers on his nightstand.

"Want me to help you with that?" Amy sat up.

"Oh no, it's okay. I'll just pull out an all nighter." Tatsu said then immediately regretted saying it because knowing Amy, she cares so much about her friend's health.

"Isn't it Saturday tomorrow?"

"Yeah?"

"Then do it tomorrow, you need sleep."

"No I don-"

"YES YOU DOOOO" Amy tugged on Tatsu's top making him loose balance.

"But I want to spend tomorrow without worrying that I still have work to do. You said we would go to anywhere we like right?"

"I get you, but..." Amy thought of an idea. "How about this, I help you tomorrow with that and that way it'll be fun. We can even do it in a café or something."

"But-" Tatsu pouted and crossed his arms playfully. Amy cooed at his action.

"Please?" Now Amy was the one who pouted and looked up at him making Tatsu internally scream.

"Fineeee."

"Yay."

They both washed up for bed as Amy asked, "So, where do I sleep?"

"Uhh, you can sleep on my bed and I'll just sleep here on this chair."

"Oh come on." Amy rolled her eyes and pulled Tatsu to the bed with her and locked him in her arms. "You never change, don't be so hard on yourself." She whispered in his ear.

PLEASE OH FUCK- AT THIS POINT SHE KNOWS--

"I didn't mean in like that- I mean like if you want some personal space while sleepi-"

"Shh, sleep." Amy buried her face in Tatsu's nape as chills went down his spine.

DID I JUST DIE? BECAUSE I'M IN HEAVEN-

As usual, Amy made Tatsu's face turn red. He felt her heartbeats against his back and put him to sleep like a lullaby.

Damn, I really am still into you.
