Promise

Chapter 9: Pancakes

Tatsu woke up to the sound of his friends giggling and laughing, when he opened his eyes, he saw that Chew was pointing a his phone camera snapping pictures towards both him and Amy who were still snuggling. Tatsu jumped out of Amy's arms by surprise and fell on the hardwood floor and waking up Amy in the process.

"Ow." Tatsu yelped. "Are you guys dating yet or what." Chew crouched down near Tatsu who was on the floor. "Shut up." Tatsu said irritated and half-asleep. "Stand up the floor's dirty." Octave pulled him up. 

"What do you guys want for breakfast?" Amy asked with a yawn after. "Anything should be fine." Octave replied.

Amy then scurried over to the kitchen looking for some ingredients for what she'll cook. "Need help?" Tatsu asked shyly. "Sure, why not?" Amy then handed over a bag of pancake mix and some other stuff. "I'll do the mixing and you'll pour the ingredients."

Tatsu then started to do what Amy had instructed him and Amy started mixing. "Are we having pancakes?" Skadi asked leaning on the kitchen counter. "Yeah." Amy replied. Skadi then proceeded to watch the two make their breakfast. "They look cute together." Chew commented from the dining table making sure they didn't hear it. "Yeah, I don't understand why they aren't dating." Octave agreed who was sitting next to him.

After cooking a few pancakes, Amy fed Tatsu one and that caught him off guard. "How does it taste?" Amy asked while handing a piece towards his mouth. Tatsu took a while to process what just happened and replied: "Mm, not so bad."

Octave and Chew were both internally squealing like fangirls from the view they were seeing. "Did you see that?!" Octave squealed. "Yes oh my god." Chew jumped up and down from his seat. "Just kiss already dammit!" Octave said that loud enough so that the two people in the kitchen could hear it, they both turned around, Amy chuckled and Tatsu just ignored them.

Breakfast was done and served on the table and everyone's mouths watered from the view. You can tell that the pancakes were already delicious just by looking at it. Everyone wolfed down the food and soon, they all planned on going home.

"Thanks for the amazing birthday celebration, I had fun despite I'm sick. Actually, I feel quite better now." Amy thanked them.

"No problem." Gabe responded.

"Well I guess we'll be going now, see you on Monday!" Skadi waved goodbye as they all went their own ways.

"Bye."

Tatsu enjoyed all of what just happened, the movie, the cuddling, the baking of pancakes, everything... he wanted more. He wondered how would it be if they were already dating. He was blushing the entire time and the things that happened made him blush even more. He hated the fact that they're just friends but then again, they have to focus on their studies and dating wont help. So he couldn't help but to just imagine scenarios in his head which will not happen...
