Promise

Chapter 2: Oh No

The moment Skadi and Tatsu walked in their room, the same people they have been with for years. The usual circle of friends, including Amy, the girl he always had a crush on until now.

"Hey look! It's ma boy!" says someone standing up from their seat almost tripping. "Gabby dabby daddy!" Tatsu exclaimed making Gabe frozen in his spot as Skadi cackled.

"Wh-" Gab said but he was cut off by the teacher walking in.

"Alright! Good morning grade 8- I mean 9." the professor said as the class giggled in amusement.

After a lot of orientation that felt like forever, Lunch finally came and Tatsu and the others was deciding where to eat.

"I swear to God, we are already 3rd year highschool and ya'll still can't pick a place to eat" Kai snapped. Cloud smirked at his words. "Well you decide then." Kodey glared at him. "Seriously, you guys STILL have beef until now? What the fuck?" Cloud grimaced.

"Right?" Monji added. "Alright, alright, how 'bout we go to that one popular restaurant near the roundabout?" Amy suggested.

Just by only that, her voice, made Tatsu flustered. And he cant keep his eyes off of her.

"Uh, hello? Tats you ok?" Octave waved his hand infront of his face.

Dang it, I zoned out again because of her. What sorcery is this?

"Uh- yeah. I agree with Amy, let's go there" Tatsu snapped out of it.

As they arrived to the restaurant, Tatsu sat near the window and to his suprise, Amy sat next to him. This felt unreal. "What you reading there?" Amy asked leaning towards Tatsu. "Uh- D-Demon Slayer. I'm j-just looking at the pictures s-since I can't read j-japanese. Kai let m-me borrow it." Tatsu stuttered as his face was turning into a bright shade of red.

"Why are you stuttering so much?" Amy chuckled.

Because I like you dumbass

"Nothing, I'm j-just cold." Tatsu stuttered once again.

"Oh? You want to borrow my hoodie?" Amy asked pointing at herself. "You can borrow it for the whole day."

"N-No it's fine! I'm ok" Tatsu tried to restrain his stutters.

"Don't be shy, I know you need it right now." Amy stated. "Thanks, I guess." Tatsu hid his face with the hood trying to hide his blush that's starting to turn into a more dark red shade.

After lunch, they all went in their separate ways and the moment Tatsu was in front of his house, he noticed that he hasn't returned Amy's jacket back to her.

"Oh no, I'm dead." Tatsu said in fear of Amy being mad towards him. But at the same time, he wanted to spend his night sleeping in the sweet scented, comfy and warm cotton hoodie.

He skimmed through the pages of the Demon Slayer manga Cloud let him borrow and soon his eyelids felt heavy and drifted off to sleep with the hoodie. It was the best sleep he had so far.
