The next few days were interesting, Renesmee was starting to show good now and Carlisle did another ultrasound. The boy was still alot bigger then the girl but they were both doing good, so was Renesmee. She was getting really excited about the babies, she has been helping Esme alot with Masen, Esme is teaching her how to do things for a baby, my mom is also helping her by giving her advice, as am I. Although my advice isn't as good as theirs, I didn't have a baby for very long before she grew up, so it's not really the same.

The next weeks flew by, the babies were growing fast and Renesmee was getting big. She would be having them in a couple months. It was summer now and we tried to find things to do to keep Renesmee busy and her mind off the upcoming delivery of her babies.

Edward and I took her and Jacob camping one weekend, Jacob and Edward spent alot of time talking, not sure what they were talking about but they didn't want us hearing. So Renesmee and I went for a walk. As we were walking down by the river Renesmee said "Mom, I'm scared" I stopped and looked at Renesmee "Of what?" I asked. She looked at me, she looked about ready to cry. "Of every thing" she said. I gave her a hug and was holding her tight. "Oh honey it will all work out" I said trying to make her feel better. "But I don't know anything about being a mother" she said "You will be a great mother" I said "You will have plenty of people to help you as well" She just looked at me. "What else are you afraid of?" I asked "What if" she said then started crying "What if the babies are like me?" "Oh Renesmee" I said "Even if they are like you they will be special and amazing" She smiled at me then she frowned and she said "What if the Volturi come again?" I shivered at the thought of them coming back. "Why would they come?" I asked "Because" she said "The babies will be different like me, and they wanted to destroy me" I ran my fingers through her hair and said "Oh honey, that was because they thought you were something we weren't" "But what if" she said "Renesmee, if they do come we will all protect you and the babies" I said "Nothing will ever harm any of you, I promise" She smiled and gave me another hug then we walked back to camp.

When we got back Edward and Jacob were still talking, but they quit as soon as they seen us. "What do you think they were talking about?" Renesmee asked as we walked towards them. "I'm not sure" I replied "I will find out though" Renesmee walked up to Jacob and gave him a hug as I walked up to Edward and gave him one. "So" I said "What were you two talking about" I tried to sound like I was joking but Edward knew I was curious. "Oh it was nothing" Edward said laughing. I could tell by the laugh it was something, Edward couldn't hide stuff from since I became a vampire, my senses are to sharp for it. Well I just let it go for now, I will ask him when we are alone later.

Later that night while Jacob and Renesmee were sleeping, Edward and I sat on the ground looking at the stars. "So" I said "What were you and Jacob really talking about?" Edward looked at me and smiled "I knew you would keep asking" he said. "Well?" I asked "What is it?" He looked at me and said "Jacob and I were discussing the babies" I looked at him confused "What about them?" I asked "Well, he wanted to know if I could try to read the babies minds, like I was able to read Renesemees" "Oh" I said looking alittle shocked. Edward just smiled. It would be cool if we knew what the babies were thinking, it is surprising how come we never thought about that.

The next morning when Renesmee and Jacob woke up they came out and sat with us. "Morning" I said as they sat down. "Morning mom, dad" Renesmee said as she sat close to Jacob to keep warm. Jacob looked at Edward and Edward looked at me, then Edward laughed I guess Jacob thought that Edward must have told me and it made Edward laugh that Jacob knew him so well. "So Renesmee" Edward said "Jacob and I have been talking" Renesmee looked at Jacob then at Edward and said "Alright, and?" Jacob looked at her and said "We want to see if Edward can hear what the babies are thinking" Renesmee looked at Jacob then at Edward, then she looked at me. "Why didn't we think of that?" she asked with a big smile. "So does that mean you will let us?" Jacob asked. "Yes" she replied "That will be great". So Edward told us all to be quiet and he concentrated on hearing the babies.

After a few minutes Edward smiled. "What?" I asked curiously. "I can hear them" he said. "Really?" Renesmee asked "What are they thinking?" Edward was quiet then he said. "One of them is saying, 'I can't wait to meet mommy' " We all looked at each other in shock. "What else?" Jacob asked. Edward listened the said "The other is thinking, 'I need more space'. That must be the boy" We laughed. "Yeah" I said "If he is like Jacob he will need alot of space to grow in" Well we sat around and Edward told us what the babies were thinking. It was so amazing to hear what was going on inside Renesmee. Well after awhile we headed back home.

When we got there Renesmee ran over and told everyone about Edward reading the babies minds. "Did you really?" Carlisle asked curiously. "Yes" Edward replied with a smile. "Come" Carlisle motioned Edward and Renesmee "Let me do an ultrasound while you listen to them. So Carlisle, Edward, Renesmee, Jacob and I all went upstairs to Carlisle's den.

Renesmee got on the table and Carlisle started the ultrasound. Carlisle began talking to the babies to see if Edward could here their response. "My you are a big baby" Carlisle said as he was looking at the boy. Carlisle looked at Edward and said "Did you hear anything?" Edward smiled "He is thinking 'Well of course I am big, this place is really small' " We all laughed. Then Carlisle said "The girl is smaller but growing fast" We all looked at Edward who said "She is thinking 'I may be small but I am just as old as my brother' " We all couldn't help notice the babies were alittle sarcastic, it was rather funny hearing what they were thinking.

Carlisle asked a few more questions and Edward would tell what he heard. After Carlisle asked "How long you going to stay in there?" Edward said " They are both thinking 'We really want out now, we want to meet mommy and daddy. We love them' " Renesmee started to cry. "What's wrong?" Jacob asked confused as to why she was crying. "I love them so much and they love me too" Jacob hugged Renesmee. After Carlisle was finished we all headed back downstairs.
