Chapter 30: Unexpected Birth

Well the next few weeks went by fast, Sam and Emily came over for dinner and Renesmee was telling them about how Edward could read the babies minds. "Do you think he could read ours?" Edward and I were sitting on the couch and Edward smiled when he heard this. "I'm sure he could" Renesmee said with a smile "We can ask him" Emily smiled and replied "That would be great". "Have you found out what it is yet?" Jacob asked "Yes" Sam said "It is a girl" "Awe that is so sweet" Renesmee said.

They sat around talking and then Jacob walked over to where Edward and I were sitting and said "Edward" Edward turned to look at him and said "Of course I can" Jacob laughed cause he hadn't even asked yet. "Cool" Jacob replied "Thank you" So Edward walked over and sat beside Emily.

Edward smiled at Emily and Sam then said "Say something to the baby and I will tell you the response" Sam and Emily looked at each other then Emily said "We love you very much baby, can't wait to meet you" They sat there quiet for a few minutes then Edward said "She is thinking 'I love you too, I can't wait to be out. It is very small in here' " Emily and Sam laughed.

Carlisle walked over and asked Emily "Do know whether the baby was all human or if it has the wolf gene?" "I'm not sure" Emily replied. "Would you like to find out?" Carlisle asked with a smile. Sam and Emily whispered to each other then Sam said "Would you?" Then he smiled "Of course" Carlisle said "Follow me up to my den" So Carlisle, Emily and Sam headed up to the den.

They were up there for awhile then we heard them come back down the stairs. "So?" Renesmee asked as she rushed over to meet them. Same and Emily looked at each other and said "She has 24 genes" We all smiled "So she is all human?" Jacob asked. "Yes" Carlisle replied as we all went and sat down. "It really didn't matter to us" Sam said "But I am glad we know" Emily replied. So they all sat around talking about the baby.

They stayed for a good while then left when it started getting dark, Edward and I was just about to leave when we heard Masen crying. "Esme, is there anything I can do to help?" I asked. Esme smiled and replied "He has been crying for a couple days but we don't know why" I looked at Edward and he smiled, then he walked over to Esme and Masen and got quiet. Masen was still crying but Edward could still hear his thoughts. "He misses Sarah" Edward said. "Really?" Esme asked alittle shocked. Sarah hadn't been around alot lately she wanted Masen to get use to Esme and Carlisle. "I guess it was to be expected" Esme said "We will have to get her over here tomorrow so he can see her" Edward smiled and said "You are a wonderful person Esme, do you know that?" Esme smiled and replied "I try to be". Then Edward and I headed home.

Well the next day we headed over to my mom's house to see Sarah. When we got there Phil told us that Mom and Sarah weren't there, said he was getting read to go to practice so they went to see Esme, so we headed to Carlisle's. As we walked in we seen Sarah and Mom playing with Masen. Well to my surprise Charlie was sitting on the couch with Emmett watching a ball game.

"Hi dad" I said as I sat down "Didn't expect to see you here" Charlie just smiled and said "I needed a sports buddy to watch the game with" "Where's Billy?" I asked "He had some stuff to do today, something about going with Jacob to get something for the babies" I looked at him confused and replied "Oh OK" then I got up and went into the kitchen. Renesmee and Esme were cooking "Hey honey, how are you feeling?" I asked as I hugged Renesmee. "I feel alright" Renesmee replied. "Where's Jacob?" I asked "He went with Billy to get something for the babies" she said. "Oh" I replied then I changed the subject. "So Esme, how is Masen today?" Esme smiled "He is good" she replied "Very happy to see Sarah" I smiled "Are you alright with that?" I asked "Of course" Esme answered "I know that Sarah will always hold a place in Masen's heart since she is his real mother" Then she smiled.
