If someone asks you a question you should always respond maybe. (Mainly pertains to yes/no questions)
I ask you to just think about it for a moment. No one actually knows what maybe means. You could say that when the answer is revealed that you were right. You said maybe, which could mean yes or no.
This might be my weird brain talking but this seems foolproof.
Ex:
Person 1: Do you think the Goldfish are going to win against the Chips tonight?
Person 2: Maybe
Person 1: Ok, but can you just say yes or no?
Person 2: No, I don't want to reveal it right now. *Actually has no idea*
Person 1: Ok
~Later
Person 2: LET'S GOOOOO! WHAT DID I TELL YOU? I SAID THE GOLDFISH WOULD WIN! WOOOOOOO
Person 1: Dude, you didn't even answer yes or no. You just said maybe.
Person 2: So? I was leaning towards the Goldfish winning. *What a little liar*
Person 1: *A little skeptical* Fine, fine.
