This is to low-key make up for not updating anything. I've been debating whether or not to actually publish this and I decided to. It's definitely not as light hearted as the others.

When I was in 8th grade (I promise I have stories from other years) I had an amazing science teacher. Their teaching style was perfectly suited for my learning style. I earned the highest science marks I ever have in that class.
Sadly some other people didn't share the same sentiment. One of them being a close friend of mine. She didn't mean any harm. Probably. But for some reason the teacher had a thing for planners and would make you correct it if wasn't done a specific way. That's what turned my friend against the teacher.
At the end of first semester the teacher was gone.
Fast forward and it's second semester.
A new sub had to be hired and allegedly the old teacher helped pick out the new one. I honestly doubt that. There is no way the teacher would've let that man teach us.
From the moment I stepped into the classroom and looked at the guy I didn't like him. He was tall, old, white, and obviously been through some stuff. He gave us a piece of paper and it had a few spelling errors along with other things. If this didn't raise any red flags what he started talking about did. Apparently he'd fought in a war, lost his vision and had damage done to his leg in the same war. He limped.
At lunch I even said something about how the dude didn't seem right to me. Everyone brushed it off, and I did too after hearing their arguments. I'd met him about an hour before, it was too soon to make a judgement.
My goodness I was so wrong.
At the time we were learning about tectonic plates. He gave us meaningless assignments, open internet/book/pretty much everything tests, and we stayed on the same topic for at least three months. I actually just kind of googled all the answers for one test. Which might've been normal if not for the fact that we didn't actually learn anything new.
At this point no one liked him. I'm not going to write what he actually said but he treated my class like his therapists. I would like to reiterate here that we were middle schoolers. If anything he said was actually true I do hope he got help.
I was ready to just kind of deal with it until he yelled at me and then the class. Irl I'm not a large person, presence or height wise (I'm 5'2 no one's going to be intimidated). The man towered over me. He had asked if knowledge was power. I raised my hand and said yes. He yelled at me that I was wrong. A teacher has never yelled at me. Or raised their voice. Most of my teachers don't have extremely loud, deep voices either so it scared me. I dreaded that class everyday afterwards.
There was this one instance I specifically remember. This boy had done something bad. It wasn't bad, bad just a late assignment. The teacher told him to go out into the hall. He was a good student. The class was shocked it was just a day late and he was asking about how he should turn it in. He started walking towards the door. The teacher asked him what he was doing. He said something along the lines of walking into the hall. The teacher said he was joking. It doesn't sound weird written out but there was something off about it. Especially how the teacher had seemed dead serious the whole time and then smiled when he said it was a joke.
Then later he yelled at the class. I sat at the front and he was about 2-3 feet away. Again, I will not be documenting what he said.
He told us ridiculous lies about his career. This guy on my bus and I created a rough timeline of his life. To fit everything he'd allegedly done I think be would've had to have been around 100ish. Along with jokes that didn't make sense, and were borderline (and also well over the border) racist. There was one about a Mexican bar. . .I don't need to elaborate.
I was done. This man was going to be fired.
I talked to the principal. The whole time I talked I cried. He then came to my class and called me a liar to my face. I told everyone.
A friend organized a doc where people could write what he did. I made sure to put down many, many things he did. Along with putting my name down as a witness to back up others' statements.
We got him fired.
Actually the school said it was for health reasons but no one actually believes that.
Moral of the story?
There really isn't one. This was a hard time. Especially since the principal didn't believe us. Throughout that whole time only one fake rumour was spread and no one actually believed it but the principal somehow heard about it. Then assumed everyone else was lying about it too. I guess maybe adults are going to doubt but compile a document with evidence and get someone fired and that'll fix the problem. (Please don't fire any innocents. Wattpad, I don't endorse spreading fake rumours to get someone fired.)
