You Deserve Extravagant

Part 3

It's been two weeks since they've found out that Kelly is pregnant. The day after Gideon confirmed that Kelly is pregnant, Alex told her she would look for a doctor so she could schedule an appointment, they couldn't go to the Waverider every time. Kelly also knew that Alex would run a background check on every doctor before she found the right one and she wasn't going to argue with her about this since she knew Alex was going to be increasingly overprotective. After calls and reports, Alex found a doctor and managed to schedule an appointment. Kelly is 8 weeks pregnant, Kelly is healthy and baby Danvers is growing perfectly.

"Alex, come here for a second", she walks into their room, she sits on the bed watching Kelly get dressed "babe, we have to come up with a plan. Everyone will be at Kara's tonight and I had to reschedule our appointment for after work, I'm having lunch with Lena. Alex are you listening to me?" Alex snaps out of her daze "what's wrong?" "nothing babe" she gets up to stand behind Kelly, her hands roaming over her skin as she looks at Kelly in the mirror "you look so good" she says "Alex don't. We can't. Babe, focus please" "I am. I'm focused on you" she comes around so that she's standing infront of Kelly, she kisses Kelly in her neck "do you even know how good you look" she kisses Kelly on her shoulder quickly getting lost in Kelly's scent. She always smells like cocoa butter cream, she never really knows how to explain it but she always feels soft and warm. Before she can continue Kelly runs to the bathroom to rid herself of the morning sickness. Alex follows her to the bathroom and rubs her back "Kel babe listen, if you aren't feeling well we can stay home tonight", "Alex we can't, I promised Kara. She's been so busy with CatCo, she's finally getting to write articles that matter again instead of just fluff nonsense. She's so much happier now that her and Lena worked everything out" "Kelly you need to stop with this Kara and Lena thing. They're friends and they've always been close" Kelly brushes her teeth again and they leave the bathroom "yeah Alex and you didn't get me pregnant" Kelly laughs as she continues to get dressed. "I'll meet you at the doctor's office, Kara and Nia will know something is wrong if you pick me up. You can't lie to your sister. I'll text you when I leave the office" she kisses Alex "I love you. Have a good day" she turns to leave but Alex pulls her back and kisses her again her "I can lie to my sister, Kel" she gives Kelly a peck on the lips and bends to kiss Kelly's belly "and you, be good for mommy" Kelly laughs as she leaves the apartment.

They walk out of the doctor's office with smiles on their faces. Their baby is healthy, growing perfectly and the doctor has given them extra tips for Kelly's morning sickness and nausea. They'll be back in two weeks for a scan. "I'm going home. I'm feeling a little tired and uncomfortable. I'm going to take a nap and meet you at Kara's" they're standing at Kelly's car "Call me if you need anything. Love you" she kisses Kelly and bends down to kiss Kelly's stomach "let mommy get some rest, my little guardian" Kelly looks down at Alex and sees a blush "what?" "Nothing. I love you" she gets in and drives away. Alex turns on Kelly's tracker in case. Since the martian attack she's been wanting to make improvements to Kelly's car, but Kelly insisted that it wasn't necessary and allowed Alex to put a tracker on her car. Maybe now she'll be able to convince Kelly to let her upgrade the tint.

Alex decided to leave the office earlier "Brainy, I'm leaving. You're in charge until the next shift starts. I'll see you later" "very well, Director".
She walks into the apartment and hears Kelly in the bathroom, she puts her things down "Kelly, baby, what's wrong" "Alex, I'm fine, just the usual nausea and vomiting. We need to get ginger and something to help me sleep" "I already got ginger, vitamin B6 with Unisom. We can start this and see if it helps. I also got burgers and shakes. Are you sure, you're up for tonight?" "Alex, I'll be fine. Your child just needs to cooperate. They'll probably be as stubborn as their momma" "I am not. Come on, let's eat and get ready"

They arrive at Kara's apartment, everyone is already there except Lena. "Hey Kar, where's Lena" Kelly asks, "she said she was coming" "she said she  will be a little late something about the lab. Hey Kel, uhm I kinda ate your jellybeans earlier when I went to your office" Kelly bursts out laughing "you're looking guilty over a few jellybeans? Kara it's fine. Alex found this place that does signature jellybeans, she has it delivered to the office. It's a little extravagant, normal jellybeans would've been fine" "but you deserve extravagant so even your jellybeans will be extravagant" Alex comes behind Kelly kissing her on the cheek with her hand protectively over Kelly's stomach.

There's a knock on the door and Kara goes to open it "Kara darling" Lena throws her arms around Kara and kisses her "I missed you. Sorry, I'm late" she says against Kara's lips. "Called it. Nia you owe me 50 bucks" Kelly breaks the silence. Kara turns to face everyone "surprise" she says so quietly. Kelly and Nia rush over to Lena and Kara, they both throw there arms around Lena and Kara "I'm so happy you guys finally got together. Kara, it's by time you actually listen to me" they let go of Kara and Lena and Kara looks over at Alex waiting for her to say something, she walks to the group "you've always been part of this family kid and you always will be" she says to Lena and turns to Kara "you owe my potstickers for a month and whatever Kelly wants for a whole month for lunch. You're going to get it for her" Kara relaxes "Alex, she bet on me and so did Nia and you're not giving them a talk? I'm your sister, Alex" "She doesn't keep secrets from me and have you seen Nia, I can't even be mad at her. You kept this from me, so you owe me" "fine. Potstickers and lunch. We need to talk about how Kelly knew" Kara mumbles as she hugs Alex. "I'm so happy for you. We'll talk about the rest later" Alex says to Kara. As the night continues, they play video games, monopoly, charades and Kara tells them about how her and Lena got together. Everyone was so focused on Lena and Kara that no one noticed Kelly wasn't drinking her usual red wine. "She looks so happy, Alex" they're standing around Kara's table watching Lena and Kara "I know baby. It's all I've ever wanted for her. Let's go home". "Guys, we're leaving. Kelly had a busy day and she's exhausted"
Kara comes over to hug Kelly "Monday lunch and you're going to tell me how you knew" she tells Kelly with a smile on her face. She hugs her sister "Love you, Al. Text me when you're home".
