I can chart passion like a voice in the wind.
Lost without purpose, just wanting more.
Echoing the vices of those who have no scars to show.
Paint me like a lily in the river.
Hold my heart like there's no wrong or right.
Stay by my side, like a child chasing fireflies in the dark, be the light I see in a sea of darkness.
Love me like theres no difference between saint and sinner.
I've finally seen myself through another's glance.
Say hello like your moved by nothing but hopeful thoughts.
Say goodbye like theres no such thing as a second chance.
If you're gonna break my heart, destroy every piece so I can only feel that type of pain once.
Make me stop at every roadside, and have me question whether every person I see is you.
Before I met you, I'd never liked the sight of blue, but it was the color of the morning sky we watched.
Now all I see in the white clouds we envisioned is the dreams of the past.
All that's in my head, is that I'm not her.
And I can never truly have you.
Alas I carry that weight like a torn photograph taped back together at the center.
