Chapter 13: The End of Tour

*Time Skip ahead a couple weeks*

The morning after their final day of tour had arrived and the boys were going to take a flight back to Korea while Gianna and Mary would go back to their hometown. Namjoon and Mary spent as much time as they could during his breaks and while watching them rehearse everyday. Gianna, Haru, and Mary also grew closer together as they spent a lot of time with each other while on the road and exploring the cities they visited. ARMY had calmed down about Mary being Namjoon's soulmate, the other soulmates understood the situation and didn't bother them about it again, and everything was so perfect that time just flew by. They were saying their goodbyes at the hotel room before hopping into their own rides to head over to the airport (since the boys needed to be escorted by security across the airport to avoid fans).

Haru, Gianna, and Mary were saying their goodbyes and said they would miss Haru. Manager Sejin approached her and asked to talk in private for a few minutes. Haru excused herself with Manager Sejin. Namjoon approached the girls and asked to spend a few minutes with Mary to which Gianna gave them space. They walked to the balcony and had their final moments together.

"Mary, these past few weeks of tour have been amazing but I'm so sad it has to come to an end."

"We knew this was coming and I'm glad we spent it together to the fullest," she said as she reached to hold Namjoon's hand.

"I'll miss you a lot Mary."

"You can always tap me, you know that. Besides, we can talk before any concert or interview you have, that's why phones exist."

As they admired the view one last time, Mary and Namjoon remembered the beautiful moments they had together: Seeing color at the concert, meeting for the first time, dancing on the rooftop, their first kiss and love confession, dancing with the boys, laughing with them while having breakfast almost every morning, and all the other fun things they did. Mary tried to hold back her tears as they remembered the times they had together but couldn't contain herself and began to cry.

"Oh Mary," Namjoon said as he took her into his arms and gave her a strong and loving hug. "We'll see each other again. This isn't goodbye forever."

"I know," she said as she wiped tears from her eyes, "But the thought of not being with you for so long hurts."

"Look at me Mary," he said as he parted from the hug and gently lifted her chin up to face him before leaning down to kiss her lips tenderly. After parting from the kiss, Mary wrapped her arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around her waist as they had another loving embrace.

"Saranghae Namjoon."

"Nado saranghae Mary."

They pulled away from the hug and Mary wiped her tears before they walked back into the hotel room. As they entered, Gianna and Haru walked up to her with huge smiles on their faces.

"What's going on?" Mary asked them.

"Guess who is BTS' official full time bodyguard!" Gianna said.

"Oh my god! Haru congratulations!" Mary said with a smile and gave Haru a hug.

"Is that what Manager Sejin talked about with you?"

"Yes, he told me that I had done such a great job with them, the boys got comfortable having me around, and I was also a great translator so I could be of use to them back in Korea."

"What about your life here in America? Won't that be hard to leave behind?"

"I'll be ok. I kind of have no reason to be here since my soulmate passed away and I'm tired of jumping around as a bodyguard for multiple groups and events so it'll be nice to settle down. Besides, once my father passed away, my mom moved back to Korea. She's not in Seoul but at least I'll be closer to her."

"I'm so happy for you Haru but also jealous because you'll be spending more time with Namjoon than I am" Mary said as she playfully punched Haru.

"I'll keep an eye on him for you," Haru said with a wink.

Manager Sejin told everyone they had to leave soon to catch their flights. They all walked to the hotel lobby to get into their respective rides. The limo for the boys and Haru was waiting for them while Gianna and Mary called an Uber. Namjoon and Mary gave each other one more hug and kiss before parting. The girls waved to everyone as they walked into the limo. Once the door closed and they drove away, Mary tapped her bracelet twice and Namjoon replied with two taps. After waiting for their car, Gianna and Mary hopped into their Uber to go back home.

*Time skip ahead about three months*

Mary now had settled back into her normal routine of work and school. It wasn't all the same though, a lot of people were recognizing her as Namjoon's soulmate and she was often interrupted on the street, at work, or in the library while studying and got asked many questions about BTS and what it was like having him as a soulmate. She enjoyed the popularity and attention but also grew a little annoyed by the situation so she had to adjust her life. She changed her job to one she could do from home and she often spent her time in the library studying in a private room with the blinds down. Gianna on the other hand, didn't get as much attention from having spent time with the BTS boys. On occasion people would recognize her as "Mary's friend" or "that one girl from the group photo" but she had no invasion of her privacy like Mary.

The BTS boys settled back into their dorm and continued work as usual; making music, recording music videos, interviews, award shows, V lives, dance practices, and so on. Nothing really changed for them except for Namjoon who now had to live with the pain of the boys being able to see their soulmates while he couldn't see Mary. Haru had moved into an apartment not too far from the boys' dorm in case they needed anything from her. Since Namjoon didn't have Mary and Haru didn't have any friends or time to make friends (since she was with the boys while they worked), Namjoon and Haru grew closer as friends. They relied a lot on one another when they felt lonely.

Namjoon and Mary didn't talk as often on the phone as it was difficult because of their time zone differences and their busy schedules. If Mary ever missed Namjoon, she would listen to BTS' music, watch their interviews, and watch their music videos. She always kept up to date with their tweets and new videos they posted. When Namjoon missed Mary, he would look at the photos they took together while on the tour. With that being said, they used their bracelets a lot. They often told each other they missed and loved one another through the use of them. Haru and Mary also grew closer on text and she often knew about Namjoon's wellbeing through her and he knew about Mary through Haru. It was difficult for them being apart but they managed to make it work relatively well for them.

One night, as Mary was finishing up her work for the day, Haru called her.

"Hi Haru! How's life in Korea treating you?"

"Mary, I wish I could call with better news but, Namjoon got in an accident and he's in a coma."
