Chapter 17: The Answer to the Problem

For the next few days, Namjoon and Mary could not leave the dorm because there were paparazzi swarming their house everyday waiting to ask them questions about their relationship. In fact, nobody could leave the house because they would always get swarmed. On Twitter, many fans were believing Felix and many were against Felix. #FelixLies and #NamjoonLies trended on Twitter. ARMY was on Namjoon's side while STAY was on Felix's side. The other Stray Kids members had a response to the situation but it wasn't much help for Namjoon and Mary. They all mutually agreed with Felix and backed him up and didn't even question the circumstances. The other BTS boys also gave their response and backed up Namjoon. They stated that they saw how hard it was for Namjoon and Mary to be together and that if it was fake, all of them would've known about it and there was no way they could've kept up a fake relationship for so long without slipping up at interviews and things like that.

Seeing that people were still divided, Namjoon and Mary thought it was best to talk about the entirety of their relationship on a V-Live. They started a livestream together and shared every detail about their relationship. To convince people even further, they were cuddling throughout the entire stream and even kissed at the end despite feeling uncomfortable doing so because they liked to keep it in private. During the livestream, they were reading some of the comments and many people were supportive of the relationship but there were a few bad apples who were still thinking it was fake. The situation was improving but there was still a huge battle against Felix ahead.

In response to their V-Live, Felix did his own V-Live and described how Mary and him met. He also pulled out evidence about why their relationship was fake. He mentioned them not kissing in public, never having pictures of them together on the street holding hands, Namjoon didn't have a reason to get violent if the relationship was real, and also because their relationship was too picture perfect to not be staged.

Several more days went by and people were still divided. Namjoon and Mary had given up on trying to convince everyone that their relationship was real and decided to just let people believe whatever they wanted and Felix could wait forever. The paparazzi it seemed had also given up on waiting for them to come out and had left the dorm alone. As they were slowly returning to their normal lives, there was a knock on the door. At first, Namjoon and Mary expected Haru to come back to check on them since she couldn't get past the paparazzi for several days but instead, there was a young woman at the door.

"May I help you?" Namjoon asked her in Korean.

"Hello Mr. Kim. My name is Chun-Hei. I am sorry to bug you but, I don't know how to reach Felix and I really need to find him."

    Namjoon grew annoyed because he didn't want to hear Felix's name ever again and expressed his annoyance to Chun-Hei.

"I'm sorry Chun-Hei, but I cannot help you. Have a good day."

    He began to close the door but she put her foot by the door to keep him from closing it.

"Please, I need to find Felix because...I'm his soulmate."

    Namjoon immediately reopened the door and invited her in and called out to Mary to join them.

"Who is this girl?" Mary asked, confused.

"She is the answer to our dilemma because she's Felix's real soulmate."

"What a relief! Why did it take her so long to say something about it?"

    Namjoon then asked Chun-Hei what happened since the day she was able to see color. He translated for Mary as she spoke. Chun-Hei recalled the day:

"I was walking with my friend to an anniversary party for one of her friends and we were in a rush because we were late. As we were walking, I made eye contact with Felix and then he tripped over someone's leg I think. I was going to help him up but my friend dragged me along with her and ignored my remarks about having found my soulmate. After I was able to get her to relax and I explained the situation to her, we ran back to find Felix but he wasn't there anymore."
