Chapter 14: The Nightmare

"WHAT? A coma?! What happened?"

"I don't know the full story but he got hit by a car really hard when he was crossing the street."

"Thank you for telling me Haru. When did this happen?"

"It wasn't that long ago, it happened earlier today."

"Ok so I guess we just have to wait and see what'll happen with his condition. He has to wake up first."

"Yeah, there's not much we can do about it now. I'm so sorry you can't be here Mary."

"I know, it hurts. But what can we do?"

"I still want you to get some rest ok? I know it's late back in America."

"I will try Haru. Thank you."

    They hung up the call and Mary dialed Yoongi.

"Hi Mary. Did Haru tell you what happened?" Yoongi asked her.

"Yes, that's why I called. Do you know more details? All she said was he got hit by a car."

"I don't exactly know what happened either but Namjoon said he was going to get some air because he was frustrated about the lyrics for a new song he was working on. I guess he didn't look where he was going when he was lost deep in thought."

"Oh, work getting to him?"

"We're not working on a new album so I assumed it was a solo passion project he was doing. I took a peek at the lyrics when he went out and...the song is about you Mary. It doesn't say your name but I'm positive it's about you."

"About me? Are you sure?"

"Who else would he write a love song about?"

"A love song?"

    Mary's eyes began to fill with tears and she tapped her bracelet three times. Unlike all the other times, there was no response. She started to cry.

"Mary, you're crying."

"I know, I'm sorry. I just...he got hurt because he was working on something for me."

"It's not your fault Mary. All I can tell you is that he got hit yes, but he only broke a few bones in his leg and then got knocked out from the impact with the concrete. He'll heal."

    Mary took a deep breath.

"You're right Yoongi. He'll be ok."

"It's night time for you right? Please get some sleep. We'll all take care of him for you."

"Ok Yoongi. Thank you."

    She hung up the phone and decided it was best she got some rest after hearing such terrible news. She knew he was in good hands and that put her at ease. As she drifted off to sleep, she had a dream about being with Namjoon.

*Dream Sequence*

    Namjoon and Mary were hanging out in the streets of Seoul. They were on a cute date walking around different shops and exploring the city together. While walking around, Mary got excited about a cute stuffed animal that was on the window of a shop across the street and ran to admire it up close. Namjoon wasn't as quick on his feet as her and crossed afterwards without looking to catch up. As he crossed, he was hit by a car but Mary didn't see it happen as she was admiring the stuffed animal. When she turned around to see Namjoon behind her, he wasn't there and instead he was lying on the street knocked out with several people crowding him. Once she noticed he was knocked out, color began to fade from her world as it turned black and white again.
