Loki POV

He watched her fall asleep, her face relaxing, her breathing slow and deep. He allowed himself to gaze at her, drinking her in, her face was soft and flushed naturally, instead of red with fever as it had been only hours ago. He was trying not to be angry but she had promised to be safe and the first thing he find out she did was go off without the back up she had promised and somehow almost drowned in a pool of water where she hadn't been seconds before. He remembered glancing at the pool when Bucky had called him there, there was something about it, he could feel the powerful magic there but he hadn't stopped to examine it. He'd just grabbed Eloise from Bucky and magiced them both to Banner.

She had risked her life and their child's, for what some rocks and a stick?! He slowly let her go and tucking her in, he began pacing around the room unable to keep still. Bucky had said she had needed to meet someone but no one else had been there. He glanced at the piece of wood she had brought back, it was remarkably similar to the staff the dark Eloise had had in her hands in the dream, he felt uneasy about that.  Had she given in to the darkness? He glanced at her; she certainly didn't look dark, she looked... radiant, her hair curled around her, her face soft and pink.  There was a knock on the door, Thor cautiously stuck his head in the door, "Ah brother, I see Lady Eloise has decided graciously to allow you to live." Thor grabbed his brother in a hug, which Loki surprisingly returned, "Actually she's sleeping. What is it?" They both looked over at the woman curled up asleep on the bed, "Odin has demanded we return immediately, Eloise is to be left here." Thor said quietly, "No, I cannot leave her right now." Loki shook his head, supressing a brief moment of panic,  "I know brother. I shall not leave your side either." Thor sat down next to Eloise, holding her small hand in his giant one. Loki sat down on her other side, "Thor, I keep coming across one theory about her, that should not be possible but it is the only plausiable explanation I have." Thor looked at Loki, his expression serious. "Well what is it brother?" "That she is a fae." Loki nervously explained to an incredulous Thor "Thats not possible, Odin wiped them out thousands of years ago," "I know, I know, which its why it shouldn't be possible. How much do you remember of their history?" Thor shrugged, "Not much, just that they were fearsome and powerful, they sought to rule the nine realms thru destruction and Odin destroyed them, every last man, woman, and child." Loki paused as Eloise shifted in her sleep, turning towards his voice, "But what if one escaped? She is half mortal. And that water she came out of was most definitely a magic portal."

He shuttered, recalling the magic of that place and how pale she had been in Bucky's arm's, her lips already tinged blue, "She is powerful, but is she truly dangerous?" Thor asked, thinking back to all the times she had knocked them back, she had never truly hurt any of them, "I think she could be if she wanted to be. But she has a soft heart and wants nothing more than peace." Loki smiled, Bucky had told him of the small house, deep in the woods that she had purchased, "Odin will not be pleased if he discovers this." Thor sighed, "He mustn't, he would at best imprison her for the rest of her life, or he might order her execution." Loki tried to push away the thoughts of the times Odin had imprisoned him, he didn't want that for Eloise. "Always nice to wake up to two of your favorite people in the nine realms discussing your death." Eloise piped up. The brothers looked down at her watching them sleepily.  "You two aren't particularly quiet." She shrugged, reaching out for Loki's hand. She laced her fingers with his. "We won't let that happen darling." He kissed her finger tips. "We'll see. You may not be able to stop it." She sadly replied.

"Lady Eloise, are you saying its true?" Thor asked, "Whats true? Sorry I really did just wake up when you were talking about Odin throwing me in a prison or murdering me." Loki noted an odd tone in her voice, a flatness. "You said you learned what you are, can you tell us?" Loki asked. She sighed weary, "Can I just show you Loki? I'm awfully tired." She held her hand up to him, he leaned his head in to her touch, and felt her flood him with her memories.  He briefly thought he recognized the man she was speaking with, he looked at Thor with horror as she showed him her time in Fairy. Thor waited patiently, watching the interaction between Eloise and Loki.  Eloise dropped her hand when she was finished. "Darling, will you let me help you sleep? There are some things Thor and I need to take care of. I will have someone watch over you." Loki held out his hand, asking her permission, she nodded grabbing his hand. "Sleep darling." His magic worked fast her eyes closing quickly. " He left her in the hands of Wanda, Steve, and Bucky in case she woke but he didn't expect her to wake for a while. Thor followed him outside as Loki began to panic. "Brother she is going to hate me."
