Chapter 15

Eloise POV

"First off, Eloise how do you feel?" Bruce asked, standing behind the couch, looking her over. "Fine, a little sore. Sleep, shower, and a little food helped alot." "Medically, you shouldn't be fine. But you bones already healed completely, and all cuts and bruises haven't even left scars." He smiled at her. "I know you weren't thrilled about the tests I ran on your baby, I can give you those in private if you want or here, but your baby is healthy." Eloise swallowed the lump in her throat, "Here's fine." She answered softly. "Your baby suffered no damage from the attack yesterday, seems to be very lively. Here I got you some pictures." He came over and handed her some ultrasound photos. She gently touched the photos, smiling, "I can do another later today, if you would like, so you can actually see everything. I can even tell you what the baby is." Bruce continued gently. Eloise nodded still lost in the photos. "Also I received the results of the paternity test, Loki is definitely the baby's father."

"Congratulations, sister and brother!" Thor roared, "A prince or princess for Asgard. Blessings to you both." Loki smiled and stood up to stand next to Eloise, she handed him the photos she had already looked at. She couldn't deny him this, knowing that she would run as soon as she could. "Would you come with me? To the scan?" She asked, looking up at him, "I wouldn't miss it, thank you for asking me to come." Loki squeezed her hand and sat on the arm of the chair next to her.

"Stars and stripes you are up next." Tony, said, "Yes, we analyzed everything from yesterday at your apartment, the bodies weren't there so someone knows you beat them and will likely be looking for you. I would suggest that we move to the upstate facility, in the event that we are attacked, there are less civilians around. Also we'd like to know what you full abilities are?" Steve looked at Eloise, "I'm not sure, I've never fully tested my magic. Loki said I trained some with Thor..." she held her hands up, unable to finish her sentence. "Yes, you were a decent fighter sister, but nothing like I saw yesterday from the footage. You are now a formidable warrior. " Thor added proudly. "Upstate we'll arrange testing and continue training. If someone is coming after you, you need to be ready to defend yourself." Steve nodded. "Loki said you fight with knives? You should keep your knives on you at all times." Eloise flashed a grin, reaching into her waist band pulled out a small knife. "Shit, she's armed." Tony laughed. "I've had no less than 6 knives on me since I was brought in here." Eloise laughed back, "Thats hot, Reindeer games, you better keep an eye on her. She seems kinky." Tony quipped back at her winking.

"I would like to propose an alteration to her chains. Eloise won't agree not to run, but I believe I can alter their appearance so they are more bracelets so they are not so heavy and they don't hamper her movements, with your approval?I know from personal experience they are very uncomfortable. Unless you would agree not to run?" Loki added, reaching down to hold the chains in his hand. "I'm sorry, I cannot make that promise and not be lying. Its already been shown I can be attacked at any moment and if vanishing would save me I would do it." Eloise said firmly, looking everyone in the eyes. "Look, I am not going to harm anyone I absolutely don't have to but I cannot promise to stay. Please I am asking for the freedom to protect myself from a danger most of you cannot possibly imagine. "

"How about we take a vote?" Bruce said, "All in favor of allowing Loki to do the alterations?" Loki raised his hand, "All in favor of removing them completely?" Tony, Steve, Banner, Clint, and Thor raised their hands. "Peace brother, you your self questioned whether they were even fully holding her. I would have her able to protect herself." Thor said as Loki glared at him. "Fine." He snapped, Eloise suddenly found Bilgsnipe very interesting rather than meeting anyone's eyes. Loki reached for her wrists and suddenly the heavy chains vanished and he began rubbing the red marks and bruises. "Please stay," he pleaded lowly in her ear. She met his eyes, silently pleading with him, refusing to lie to him, "You know I can't make that promise."

"Alright, everyone grab your stuff, cars will be here in an hour." Tony directed everyone nodding and heading in separate directions. "Eloise? Loki? I have time to do the scan now if you like?" Bruce gesturing to his lab.

Loki POV

Loki took a seat, next to the chair Eloise laid back in, he watched as she pulled up her shirt and lowered her pants a little further down to her hips, the small buldge protruding slightly. "OK this will be a little cold," Banner said as he squeezed a gel on to her stomach and then placed a machine to her belly, Eloise turned her head to the screen and Loki followed her. A image of their child appeared, wiggling ever so slightly and then stretching its limbs. "Fascinating. " Loki whispered. "Do you want to know what it is?" Bruce asked Eloise, she hesitantly glanced at Loki, "its a daughter isn't it?" She shyly smiled at him. "Actually yes." Banner said with some surprise. He continued the scan, pointing out different things, Loki was surprised when he felt Eloise reach for his hand and grasp it with strength and squeeze it excitedly when they saw their daughter sucking her thumb. "I'm sure you guys will want to go get ready." Banner said as he finished the scan and handed both parents some more photos from the scan. Loki helped Eloise up and together they walked back to their rooms to gather their things their hands intertwined, arms swinging together. Loki left Eloise at her room and was surprised when she was already gone when he came to walk her to the elevator a little over 10 minutes later. He tried to control his panic as he headed to the elevator, Stark was waiting there, looking shocked as he looked between the elevator and Loki. "I just saw you and Eloise head down to the garage, 10 minutes ago." Loki grabbing Starks arm "She's going to run." JARVIS'S voice rang out, " Sir, telephone call from Mrs. Eloise." "Patch her thru. What the hell kid?" Tony replied, "Tony please tell Loki to calm down, I nearly wrecked the car when I felt his panic. I just wanted some space to think and I didn't think I'd get it if I asked." "Are you all right?" Loki asked in a low voice, trying to calm his nerves. "Loki, I'm sorry for impersonating you and upsetting you, I will meet you up at the Avengers campus." Just before she hung up they heard the low roar of the engine.
