Eloise POV

About half an hour, Eloise pulled over, Bucky quickly followed.  "So gonna tell me where we are headed doll?" He asked, his bright blue eyes meeting her own, "How would you feel about not exactly doing what I told Loki and Thor what we said we were doing?" She asked biting her lip. Bucky raised an eyebrow, "Would you be willing to go check out this property? Just make sure it is as out of the way and hard to find as it looks. Then Tony has a plane on stand by to take you to Scotland where you will meet me at the Isle of Skye and hopefully Loki will be none the wiser we separated." He crossed his arms, considering what she said. "Why?" His bright blue eyes stare her down, waiting for an answer. "Well cause there is a place I need to go and I know he wouldn't approve and he would try to stop me if he knew." Eloise explained, anxiously twisting her fingers, "I don't like it doll." She shruged meeting Bucky's worried expression with one of her own, "Actually I'm  not too fond of the idea either but I don't think you can follow me where I need to go anyway. Plus I need both things done and he's only given me two days alone." Eloise blew out a breath she had been holding, "Look, if you really don't want me to go on my own, I'll just vanish and you can call him and be the responsible adult.  I am fairly confident I can beat him there cause neither one of you know exactly where I will be." He grinned at her, nodding at the fact that she did have him there, "Thats cold." "C'est la vive my friend. I really don't really want to go there. But I will if you force my hand." "Alright, just promise you will be careful." Eloise held out her pinkie to him, "I pinkie swear." "Really a pinkie swear?" He smiled laughing, his smile lighting up his face, "Dude a pinkie swear is a swear of the highest order, I would never break a pinkie promise." Eloise pretended to look offended, they quickly grasped pinkies and then she handed him a piece of folded paper, "Heres the addresses, and I will send you the location of where I will meet you tomorrow at exactly sunset. If I do not meet you at sunset, call Loki and tell him everything." The bike behind her disappeared in a cloud of green smoke. Bucky jumped, "Steve said you could vanish but I did not expect that." "It is a little freaky. Remember tomorrow at sunset." She waved at him and vanished into green smoke.

She reappeared in the highlands of Scotland, appearing in the middle of a rain storm and was nearly immediately drenched.  She had trusted her magic to pull her to where she needed to be but there was no fairy pool or any sort of a pond even near by. So she took off walking, "ok whoever you are, show me where I am supposed to go?" She called out, but there was no answer.  She kept walking for hours, it was nearly dark when she was about to give up, when she came around a corner to see just ahead of her was the same pool from her dream. "Mo leanbh..." she turned her head, she could have sworn she'd heard something. "Mo leanbh..." she heard it again but louder. Without realizing it her feet were carrying her forward to the pool. She dropped her jacket to the ground and barely stopped to send her location to Bucky.  She jumped into the freezing cold water.

She jumped up, gasping for breath, a pair of strong hands grabbed her and hauled her up on land, she coughed and coughed, she became aware of someone patting her back vigorously.  Finally she turned to thank her savior. "Thank you for pulling me out, I don't know what I was thinking, that was incredibly stupid. " she met the merry blue eyes of the Scotsman from her dreams. "Aye, that was quite a jump mo leanbh but I'd expect no less of you." His smile lit up his entire face, looking at her as if to memorize her face. "I've waited a long time to see you again mo leanbh." He leaned forward and grabbed her pulling her into a hug holding her to him like a child. Much to her surprise she returned the hug wholeheartedly.  "It is joyous to finally see you again."

He broke the hug, only to grab her face to hold it between his large hands, and stared at her face. "Ye look like your dear mother mo leanbh." He pulled her to her feet and led her a small distance away where he had a fire going and he placed a blanket over her shoulders.  "You must have so many questions," he sat next to her on the ground, "Uhhhhhh, yes, who are you? You know my mother? Is she here too? Where are we? Why did you call me here? Do you know what I am?" All the questions rushed out after one another and he laughed. "Yes, I can answer all of that. My name is Avery and I am your father. If you will allow me I will tell you the story of our people and it will answer all your questions." She nodded, shivering slightly and wrapped the blanket closer around herself,he began his story, his voice melodic and he was a born story teller. "Once a very long time ago, we were a great people, the Fae, we all possess a great potential for magic and as we reach maturity we are given a test to determine our magic, the greatest among these talents is light or dark magic, our family only ever had the potential for light and dark magic and therefore we were placed in a position of power, a ruling class if you would. There were many that feared us and misunderstood our magic. So they began to hunt us down, as they wiped us from the universe few remained till it was only myself left." He paused gazing up at the stars, "I closed all the portals, except one to Midgard, a planet I could blend in on. I was... lonely. I guess. I met your mother once when I was coming out of the fairy pool, she did not understand exactly what I was and took me prisoner." He smiled at the thought, "I fell in love with her, and I brought her back here to Fairy. Much to my surprise we had many children, 11 daughters in fact and I began to have hope that I could have happiness. Your mother convinced me we should strive for peace and we began to make treaties, to plan a lasting peace. As the eldest of our daughters reached the appropriate age for marriage, the youngest was just being betrothed.  So we planned a grand celebration.  All of our allies joined us, my daughters were entrancing, charming even the most hateful of our enemies, no one more so than my youngest. She was betrothed to the second son of our greatest enemy, the one who had wiped out most of our people. He was less than enthusiastic about the match but his wife was a woman of intellect and she saw the benefits of such a match and you charmed both her and the second son, you were great playmates as I recall. During one of the ceremonies my daughters performed a show of their magic, and our enemies heart turned against for he feared their power. The next day, he turned and slaughtered your mother and ten of my daughters in cold blood. You were the only one who was saved, but you witnessed your favorite sisters death and your magic burst forth driving all back and you ripped your memories from your mind," he held out another amethyst, "I have kept it safe for you and when you are ready you may have it. I decided it would be best to hide you on Midgard, though I was quiet sure no one had realized you survived. On Midgard your powers would stay hidden for longer without the magic of Fairy to fuel them, it would also delay your choicing time, which is why you have been called here now."

He pulled her to her feet. "Mo leanbh, I  wish we had more time, but we have a journey to make and your time is short here. Come." He began to walk, she followed walking next to him, "What happens if I do not choose?" "You already know, the darkness will over take you and the darkness will rule you. " "Then I will pick the light magic I guess." "Mo leanbh it is not that simple." He didn't elaborate on what he meant.

They walked in starlight, following a well worn path. After a while with her thoughts, she realized she had some questions, "So I have a question," he smiled at her, "You have always been inquisitive in nature." "So I am pregnant, will this effect my child?" He stopped and placed his hands on her stomach, closing his eyes, "Yes, it will, not many have lasted long enough to make it thru childhood without choosing. If you can resist the choice till you give birth to the child, it would be better." He released her. "Good to know, so how does this choosing work? Wand choosing the wizard type thing?" He stared at her, "I do not understand that reference. First we will go into the forest and you will pick your staff.  It can help you channel your power, some choose to use it others do not. Then we will go to the pool of crystals. Yours will call out to you."

Avery found her the perfect staff, smiling he plucked it from the tree, and presented it to her, "You had been pulling at this one since you could walk." She grinned and touched it, it felt warm and welcoming like an old friend.  He smiled in return, and then turned down another path. "I noticed you don't have a staff." She tentatively asked. "After the death of your mother and your sisters, I have found I can no longer wield my magic. My grief has burnt it out of me." "So which chose you?" "Dark magic." She took a step back and he noticed, "Dark magic is powerful and seductive, if you are not of sound character, it can over take you. But all of us have light and dark aspects of ourselves, if dark magic chooses you it does not automatically mean you will be ruled by it." She thought about it, "I guess that makes a lot of sense." They continued their journey, the sky now beginning to show the faintest bit of light.

"Once you have accepted your magic, you will recieve your full magic but since you are the last heir you also have another path to power, if you should choose to take it. For now I am King of Fairy, if you should choose to embrace your birth right, you will become the Queen." He continued.  "I don't know about that, I really don't want to rule anything." She said, thinking about how she just wanted a home with Loki and their child, "Plus I don't think I was very good at that royalty thing, when Loki showed me our wedding I got the feeling he did it in secret cause otherwise I would have said no just cause it would have been too embarrassing otherwise." "Yes that was a surprise that even after you were sent into hiding, Loki still found you." "What do you mean?"she looked up, realizing she had never actually asked Loki how they met, "The second prince I spoke of, that you were betrothed to? It was Loki. But then again, it was your sister who advised us to agree to a betrothal to Loki instead of the older son and she was a seer. He was quiet taken with you, even as a child." He smiled, as if remembering something, "So wait if Loki and I were children together, how is he like 1200 years old and I'm only 25?" Eloise wondered, "Time works differently around Fairy," he shrugged. They reached the top of a hill just as the sun rose on a lake that glittered with crystals. "We have arrived."
