Redamancy

Chapter 10

Loki POV

Loki and Stark in his suit appeared in Eloise's apartment, only to find the small neat apartment nearly destroyed. There were no bodies but there was blood spattered across the wall and pooled in several places on the floor. Every piece of furniture in the room was broken except for one single wooden chair which still had piece of rope tied to it and a black fabric bag lay on the floor. Several parts of the wall had damage and even holes thru them as if someone had been thrown against the wall and thru them. As Loki took all of this in his rage began to build.

Tony whisled, stepping out of his suit, "JARVIS give me everything you can on what went down, no bodies, so either they survived or someone came and got the bodies." Tony bent down, and picked up some of the rope,"Strange these have burn marks, like someone burned thru them." Tony looked at Loki, "Is it possible..." he left off in the middle of his question. "I don't know," Loki replied stepping forward to take the rope to examine it, "She did not have magic when we were together, and what I have seen her magic is very different than mine or even any I've seen before, where I need spells and incantations she simply does, so I have no idea what her full power maybe. I got the feeling so far she's been holding back. Simply trying to scare us away rather than actually hurt us." Loki stared down at the piece of rope, he could feel powerful magic still radiating off of it. "I believe I may be able to go back and show us what happened. Please stand out of the way."

Loki began the spell and in front of them a faint see thru image appeared of Eloise in a cloud of green smoke, then from behind her two hideous creatures and a tall blonde man appeared, two were indigo colored, skeletal in shape, their skin clinging to their frames except for their faces which had enormous beaks for noses, and the other was a large, tall, well built man who could only be asgardian, "Asgardian" Loki sneered, one of the two blue beings grabbed Eloise from behind, while the other put the bag over her head and together they pulled her kicking and fighting over to the chair that was still standing and tied her to it. "I'll give her one thing, she's got a hell of a lot of fight in her for being such a little thing." Tony admired. "Yes, she is incredibly brave, sometimes stupidly so," Loki answered staring at what was going on before him, the creatures were now holding on to her arms as Eloise continued to fight being restrained, the asgardian leaned in speaking to her while pulling out a knife.

"I wish we could hear what they were saying," Tony commented at Loki's shoulder, Loki only nodded completely focused on not letting the spell break. It was then they saw the asgardian delivered a slap so hard the chair nearly fell over, Eloise with it, then the two indigo creatures were blown back into the wall as a energy force burst from Eloise, green fire erupted from her hands and the ropes burned off her falling to the ground, with one hand she yanked the bag off her head and with the other she reached into the waistband of her jeans and pulled out a long knife, "Woah, I did not see that coming" Tony said as the asgardian squared off to Eloise, grinning evily at her drawing a long sword. She didn't wait for him to have time to attack, she blasted him with her left hand thru the wall and with the other she stabbed behind her as one of the indigo creatures was reaching towards her, it was a fatal wound, slashing deeply across as she turned around, the creature fell spraying blood across the wall, as she twisted to face the last creature the asgardian appeared again and pulled her hair, yanking her to him, he held her as he slashed down into her shoulder with a knife, stabbing her, as she gasped from pain she seemed to focus and twisted her knife and drove it upward into the asgardians neck, he dropped releasing her hair. She bent over gasping for air and then reached up and pulled the knife out of her shoulder, only to have the last assailant jump up her, she fell back into the table, the alien slashing her cheek with a single talon on his hand, she drove the knife she had pulled from her own shoulder into its chest cavity. It died instantly as the images faded.

Loki felt dizzy letting the spell fade, seeing the damage around him. It only left him with more questions; clearly what she was only giving a warning when she attacked himself and Thor, she was so powerful, and where had she learned to fight, Thor had taught her only the most basic of defenses, who were the ones who attacked her and for what, who was the asgardian with them? "Sir, I have Doctor Banner for you," Tony's iron man suit spoke as it floated around the room, scanning everything, "Patch him thru," "Tony, you and Loki need to come back. Thor and Cap just brought Eloise down to the lab, something is happening." Loki's stomach dropped, his blood running cold. "Go" Tony said moving towards his suit, "I'll finish up here." Loki nodded and vanished.

Eloise POV

She dropped on all fours, coughing up dark dust that stirred in front of her. "I thought it was time we had a little chat, to remind you of what will happen." A cold voice said in front of her, she looked up into the face of the mad titan Thanos, "You and your child will be mine, two powerful weapons to help me in my conquest of the universe." He reached forward, grabbing her by her throat and pulling her up to look him in the face, he began to squeeze her throat as he spoke again, "Nothing you do will change that." He laughed in her face and threw her backwards, she tensed for the impact but it never came, instead the familiar motion of being pulled backwards as her eyes closed over took her as she tried to gasp for breath.

Loki POV

Loki appeared a moment later in doctor Banner's lab, Eloise laying on a stretcher, Banner attaching several machines which immediately began alarming, "her heart rate is extremely high and she's not breathing enough," Bruce continued talking to Tony, jumping as Loki appeared. "WHAT HAPPENED?" he shouted as Thor grabbed him, "We were talking in the living room when she dozed off, then Bilgsnipe started barking at her and suddenly she screamed, and fell to the ground twitching, brother. I grabbed her and brought her to Banner." Thor grunted as he attempted to hold Loki still, "Let Banner work." He said, as the machines numbers began to normal out and Eloise let out a big gasp and began to breath on her own. "What happening?" Loki asked, stopping fighting Thor, "I don't know, her hear rate is returning to normal and shes breathing again, what is this?" Banner moved her hair to examine her throat, as a giant hand shaped bruise appeared.
