Chapter 02. Bleeding

wake up to screaming it's nothing new so I wake up going downstairs grabbing an apple and going to the bathroom to quickly getting dressed and I walk out seeing the 3 boys and I scream "sorry I thought I saw something" I say looking at my parents who are both looking back at me "hey that's rude" Luke said being sarcastic and I just glare at him and he puts his hands up in defense "anyways I'm gonna go to school" I say walking out of the house closing the door behind me "guys you can't talk to me they're gonna think I'm crazy or something" Luke just smirks "we're all a little crazy" he says winking at me, I just sigh "just go away" I say walking off and going into the garage and closing the doors behind me it's been 3 years since he died and I haven't sang since and I saw this song on the piano and I sit down at the piano, and start playing the song Carlos always wanted me to play 'Wake up'

I finish and I go to school, I told Flynn I sang for the first time in 3 years but still got kicked out of music for the participating but Flynn was happy for me but she said she's sorry but I just told her it's fine, I walk inside to my parents being high "hey sweetie want one?" my mom said coughing I just roll my eyes "you realize this is why Carlos is dead right?" I say almost yelling and walking off into my room and slamming the door and trying not to let the tears escape, but they escape anyways and I see the 3 boys appear in front of me and I quickly wipe my tears "hey guys" I say smiling, "hey you have a great voice by the way" Alex said I look at them confused we're they there? "What?" my smile dropped completely "uhm yeah we heard you"
"We're you in the garage whenever I was playing?" they all look down and back up at me and Alex speaks up "well" he says in a girly voice "it's fine" I say looking down and putting my hands in my pockets "I've gotta go to school" I walk out of my room closing the door and going downstairs and Luke poofs right in front of me and I jump "Jesus" I say walking to the fridge, "so I have a song" I look over at him closing the fridge and crossing my arms, and raising my eyebrows "I asked her and she said i have to wait til next semester" I say looking at his beautiful brown eyes, Jules stop "that was your first mistake asking, I have a song it's called bright we never got to record it so if you play this maybe you'll actually get in you don't have to ask, Julie" I think about it for a second and grab the song and walk to school "hey" I say walking up to Flynn "I'm gonna prove Mrs.Harrison wrong" I said smiling to Flynn and she puts the trumpet down and walks me to the assembly. "I'll see you in music class" Flynn said going to sit down on the stairs and I see the guys poof next to me "she looks nervous" Alex said whispering to Luke and Reggie, "like yack in the bowl nervous" I look towards them "I don't think I had enough time to work on the song" Luke scoffs and looks at me "I wouldn't have given you the song if I didn't think you were gonna rock it now there's a piano up there with your name on it" Luke was right I got this and I go up there and start playing the piano but stop and look at Luke "you got this" he said to me and I look back down at the keys and start playing again and the guy turns up the light and I start singing.

The guys poof in with their instruments and it scared me at first because

everyone can see them and people get out their phones and start recording and dancing.

Then the guys join in with him and I just hype up Alex

I walk over to Luke and putting the mic out so he can sing into it,

I put the mic up to my mouth and start singing again.

I held out "forever" a little bit longer then the guys did

We all bow together and the guys poofed out I told everyone that they were holograms and everyone believed it I went home walking inside seeing my drunk parents and I see my mom lying on the ground bleeding "oh my god" I run over to my mom only to be pulled away from her by my dad and he starts hitting me until my eyes are bleeding from the corners "Dad stop" I say screaming at him as I stand up, I run upstairs closing my bathroom door, locking it behind me and I grab some toilet paper cleaning my eyes and Luke poofs beside me "Jesus Christ Julie what happened" I shake my head and go back to cleaning "just dad stuff anyways have you guys thought of or written any more songs?" He shakes his head not dropping this "what happened jules?" I sigh "my mom was bleeding on the ground and I was going to go help her no matter how much I hate her I'm gonna help her you know?" he just nods listening to me vent "and so he pulled me away from her hitting me, my eyes are so sensitive to light and my skin doesn't take hits very well it never did so whenever I get hit I bleed" Luke paces back and fourth "Luke it's fine" He stops in front of me "it's not fine" He sticks his hand out and I try to hold onto it but my hand just goes right through and I just sigh "I should get going" I say plastering a fake smile on "that fake smile doesn't look good on you jules" he said making me drop my smile and I unlock the door and see my dad there "Who are you talking to?" I look down at the ground clearing my throat "I was-" and there was a doorbell and I turn to look behind me and Luke was still there and I had a confused look on my face and he just shrugs his shoulders and my dad walks downstairs and it was Carrie, my ex best friend "hi Mr.Molina I need to borrow Julie for a second" I walk downstairs and go outside with Carrie and close the door and we go to the garage and I close the door "what do you want Carrie?" I say with a small attitude and I feel my eyes bleeding again and Carrie noticed my bruises "Jesus fucking Christ Julie" she stands up and lowers her voice "what happened?" tears escape my eyes, "my dad my mom was-" I try to let words escape but all that would escape were sobs and Carrie just pulled me into a close hug "I don't know what I did car" we walk to the couch and she holds my hands "you didn't do anything you hear me?" She pulls me close to her again and just comforts me, it felt nice to be close with her again.
