At work, he noticed that Beomgyu had indeed put on some makeup. He had on very light, barely noticeable pinkish-red eyeshadow and lip gloss, which made him look......
Soobin turned away abruptly and took deep breaths until the warm sensation on his cheeks cooled down. Then, he tentatively looked again in the direction.
Beomgyu was talking to a customer in the corner. He was introducing the history of the pocket watch in the display. Judging from the face that the customer was making, he's probably going to purchase it, and he did, with Beomgyu picking the watch up with a soft cloth and setting it on the counter for Namjoon to wrap.
The door opened again with a jingle as a man wearing a green sweatshirt in a black parka walked in, with very eye-catching pink hair.
"Welcome to Kim's antiques," Soobin said mindlessly.
"Hello! How can I help you?" Beomgyu suddenly piped in, face plastered with an obviously forced smile. "If you don't mind, I would like to show you this gorgeous lamp!"
-------------
Soobin isn't the type to eavesdrop, but here he is, pretending to sweep the floor while listening to the conversation behind the wooden divider. He could see the two people through the slits of its design, and just for a second, he thought the blond-haired boy was looking at him.
"Why are you here?" Beomgyu said, not bothering to lower the volume.
"C'mon~ You hate me too? And I miss you." Came the smiling voice.
"Go away, Yeonjun."
"Mom's going ballistic without you at home. It's unbearable."
The blond-haired boy scoffed. "If I go back to that hellhole, I'll go crazy."
"Fine, fine, I'm not staying there for long anyway," Yeonjun replied, looking around. "Nice place you got here."
He leaned into Beomgyu's ear and whispered something, which Soobin did not hear because of the distance, and Beomgyu slapped Yeonjun hard on the shoulder.
"Don't think of him like that!" the blond-haired boy stuttered, cheeks dusted pink.
"Ooh~ possessive, aren't you? Beommie had finally grown up~" Yeonjun mocked, smirking.
"Shut up."
"Now, weren't you trying to show me a," Yeonjun replied with that eye-sore of bright pink hair, "gorgeous lamp?"
-------------
Beomgyu didn't speak to Soobin after that little conversation with Yeonjun.
The pink-haired man left shortly after without buying anything, and Beomgyu picked up the broom Soobin left off and started sweeping the floor.
"Um," Soobin started, "I-"
"What?" the golden-haired boy snapped, looking up.
"I already swept this section."
"Oh," Beomgyu said quietly, "Oh." Then he walked over to the counter and began cleaning the area around it.
